we were in Orlando a few weeks ago as well and I’m not really a park person but mixed it up with a day at Universal with express pass which was fun. The express pass made it easy and my daughter got picked for the wand show which she was excited about. Had dinner at Toothsome which was nice, milkshakes overpriced and oversized so kids end up wasting most of it but I guess one off.
We skipped Disney world since we were going on the cruise but met some friends at Disney springs for dinner and they looked exhausted after 5 days of park to park with 2 young kids. My daughter is 9 so she’s kinda over the doesn’t world phase and is more universal as she loves thrill rides.
Spent a day at aquatica and a day at discovery cove which was amazing. Did other things around such as the river tubing at Kelley Springs, a day at Kennedy Space center. We tried to tone it with a launch but it was postponed due to weather. We spent time at Winter Park, went on the boat tour which was great to see houses I can ever afford and had dinner at the Turkish restaurant there which was great. Went cycling around Celebration and had ice cream and dinner in the evening.
and to make it worth it we spend the second week on a 7 night Disney cruise which was amazing and relaxing. I would take a Disney Cruise over Disney World any day. It was so relaxing and the crew members were amazing, friendly and fun. Characters everywhere, good food, beautiful clean ship, my daughter loved the kids club so we were able to have dates on the ship which was lovely.
Also we had a car, I wouldn’t do Orlando without a car, it restricts you to the parks and we stayed at Kissimmee. We nearly drove to Clearwater beach or Siesta Key beach but decided against it. We may next time.
If We go to Orlando again we will split it and visit other areas of Florida, theres a lot of beautiful places to visit in Florida.
