Lake Garda (Sirmione) with a toddler in September - what to do

My DM has very generously gifted myself, my DH and DD (2) a one-week holiday in Lake Garda (Sirmione) in mid-September, which we are very grateful for, however as she did it through a friend who owns a holiday apartment, she might not have been as thorough as otherwise in checking the space available, which turns out to be tiny.

We have access to a kitchen of our own and an en-suite but the sleeping space is absolutely tiny for 2 adults and a toddler, there will literally be next to no space once the travel cot is set up in the room. We have access to a pool but it will be shut down till next season in the middle of our stay there. We would still have been planning to obviously be out and about, but given how tiny the space is, it has become imperative we literally only use the room to sleep in and shower, as it’s too small to even while time away in if it rains etc.

So I desperately need any recommendations for things to do and see that would be fine with a toddler, in any weather, as I really want to go with a plan for each day! There’s obviously lots I can find online but always prefer hearing from people who might have done a similar trip themselves with kids. We are thinking of spending one of the days in Verona (will have a rental car) but any other suggestions would be welcome!

Parco Natura Viva is a good day out. Lots to see and do for a 2yo, including a few playgrounds and picnic areas.

Oh it will be lovely. There is a park and a beach which has big flat stones under the water where you are staying .Get the ferry to other places around the lake. We found pizza and pasta very reasonable. We hired a car and there are lots of places to pull in around the lake and take a dip or a wander. Lots of fabulous ice cream! We just drove around the lake and stopped at different place each day, had a wander, lunch and a swim. Peshia del garda is also lovely to wander around. I think you can get the train from there to Verona.

Gardaland has a toddler bit but it might be expensive for just that age group.

It has rollercoasters etc that would not be feasible for a 2 year old.

There is a sea life centre.

Boat trips.

Lakeside beaches at Peschiera or Desenzano, boat trips, Monte Baldo cable car in Malcesine to access walks through alpine meadows and see animals, Verona for a city excursion.
