Seriously considering Porto for a four night break. We enjoy views, boat trips, museums, history, architecture, sitting down with a coffee/wine😊watching the world go by. Just a couple and we're happy to do a lot of walking if necessary.

Any goods areas to stay for atmosphere or close to areas of interest?

I going to Porto in the next couple of days. Any ideas from anyone would be great.

It's nearly ten years ago now, but we did a food tour with these guys https://tasteporto.com/ and a wine tour with these https://www.cooltouroporto.com/.

Very out of date recommendations! But they were very good. Enjoy, it's a lovely city.

On our first morning in Porto we did a free walking tour and it was great! It helped us to see all the main sites and our guide was really informative. Not only did he tell us lots of interesting facts he was able to recommend restaurants and other places to visit. We loved Porto!

We hired bikes and cycled out to the coast (cycle path for all/most) and flat. There was a great beach bar/restaurant there for lunch. I loved Porto.

Four of us stayed in this place, the location was perfect for exploring Porto. www.airbnb.com/slink/n5JaCosk

One day we took a tram (maybe the no 1?) out to a beach, the tram ride is nice, there were good restaurants by the beach.

Another day we explored an area with vintage shops and an art and vinyl shop.

One rainy day we explored the various port making places, sampling a little glass in each and walking between them.

We took a cable car ride to a spot that was good to watch the sun set over Porto.

And we enjoyed the architecture around the famous bookshop (didn't go in the bookshop as the queue was too long).

Each time we went out we explored a different part of the city. Best holiday we've ever had.
