Euro camp holidays are they worth it?

My partner and I have been discussing that we may go on a eurocamp.holiday this year. Some of the sites look great and are a lot cheaper than some holiday firms are offering.
I suppose I'm wondering what people's experiences are ? Do they work out cheaper ? How did people get there as in car and ferry or by plane etc?
Can anyone also recommend any other companies that may be as good and better value for money?
TIA

We have stayed with various companies. On the whole we have preferred eurocamp but we have seen much more standardisation now. A lot of the campsites are now part of large companies so there is less benefit to booking direct than there was.

This year we stayed in one of the top of the range mobile homes. Plenty of space, excellent pitch and end of let clean. If you are doing the clean yourself you have to wait for inspection before leaving.

been to French and Dutch campsites and generally had a good experience.

you will save money however by booking directly with the campsites rather than via eurocamp.

The one reason I’d book via eurocamp is if I wanted my kids to use their own (eurocamp run, English speaking) kids clubs but not sure they are still a thing, certainly are not at all sites

Yelloh Village sites are great. We have always either driven or hired a car. Def doable to get taxis to them from some airports however.

We have been to a few in Italy and Spain:

Bella Italia in Lake Garda;
Park Albatross in Tuscany;
Vilanova near Barcelona.

We usually book a 3 bed mobile home to give us more space.

We are trying out another campsite in Italy this summer. But only managed to get a 2 bed, so that might turn out to be the last time we use a mobile home lol!

I really, really want to go to a eurocamp and wondered myself if they were worth it. I really like the look of the Duinrell site. Really want to take my kids because I think they would love it . I tried to do some research if different sites the other day

We went to Duinrell two years ago and are going back this summer both times with eurocamp. Booking direct with Duinrell is more expensive but has swimming included, Eurocamp is cheaper and more flexible. (We found Eurocamp cheaper even after adding up the swimming costs.) Lots to do in the area and the town is a 5 minute walk from the site with restaurants and supermarket. There’s a Facebook group for hints and tips and also people pass on swimming vouchers! I would definitely recommend!

Thinking of going in summer 2026,really would like to try one in Southern France, maybe near the Spanish border.
Anyone recommend a site in that region? Near a beach and water slides, maybe a town nearby ?

We did a fabulous holiday in Germany, a little town called Kirchzarten.
Campsite there is lovely and has caravan for hire and free access to the local swimming pool.

It's a long drive... 10-12 hours, but worth it. Once there, you can park up the car and use the ticket for free lical public transport that comes with the tourist tax.
The bus & train network is excellent.

We paid something like €800.- for 2 weeks, family of 4 a few years back... pich & electric hook up.

One of our favourite sites !
