2 Nights in Oslo, Norway

My partner will be travelling to Oslo next week for a short 2 nights trip. Are there must visit place or sights to see on such a brief trip? Also how are the food prices like restaurants, local transport, do they accept cards like Monzo, Starling for local currency. Any recommendations for places worth visiting or watching would be appreciated. 😊

Public transport is excellent - you can buy a 48 hour pass from the station. I don't recall the price but it wasn't exorbitant. Good tram network. The Mathallen food place is nice for a visit. Walking on the quayside by the opera house. I think the Viking Ship museum is closed at the moment but the neighbouring folk museum is interesting. Boat trip up the fjord. Resistance Museum at the Akerhaus fortress is good, or otherwise it's free to walk round the walls for the views. Nice shops and restaurants at Aker Brygge. Vigeland park with all the sculptures. And the ski jump is just outside town. I didn't find food prices TOO bad (though i live in Belgium which is pricier than UK anyway) but alcohol prices were quite eye-watering. I took some wine from duty free. It's a beautiful and clean city. I went with dd in February a few years back and it was quite bracing. I would love to return in the summer.

I just used my normal bankcard everywhere. I never used cash at all.

What sort of things are they interested in?
The Fram Museum (https://frammuseum.no/) is outstanding - the ship used in expeditions to the Arctic and Antartic. I've been there 3 times and spent hours in the museum each time.
The Kontiki Museum (https://www.kon-tiki.no/en/home) which is next door to the Fram is about Thor Heyerdahl's expedition on a raft from South America to Polynesia. Again, fantastic museum.
Someone else mentioned the Norwegian Resistance Museum at the Akershus fortress. This one was very interesting too.
Then there's the Munch museum if they are into art and/or the Vigeland sculpture park.

Food is expensive.
The Norwegians pay for everything by card. I don't know what Monzo and Starling are but I just use my Austrian bank card and/or credit card for everything and I've never had any problems. In fact, they barely use cash. Buses/underground/trams etc. you can use your card or buy tickets on an app (usually cheaper).
