2 year old holiday toys

I'm just wondering what people tend to bring on holiday for their 1/2 year olds. Our wee boy is almost 2 and we're off on our summer hols soon. I've picked him up some little fidgety toys for the plane, water colouring book, and little cars. And we've got a little ball game, jigsaw and some hopping frogs for the hotel room. When I lay it all out it doesn't look like much. We're only away for a week so I feel it's not necessary to bring lots as we'll be out and about or swimming most of the time. Am I overthinking? Should I pack some more bits or do you agree that being away and doing things is the entertainment for small children?

Also of course the precious tablet with his favourite shows downloaded for some chill time / crisis management on the flight 😂

It depends on where you're going. If we were going to an all inclusive beach resort, I'd bring less toys as they tend to have some for the kids.
If it's a city type break, definitely something fidgety for them to amuse themselves in the stroller while you walk around.

What you described is pretty much all we brought, along with some little gel stickers for DS to stick on the plane windows.

DS is 2.5 now, and happy to watch a few CBBees shows on the Ipad and eat his dinner. We also always pack his smallest fave stuffy and a few night time story books to stick to his regular schedule as much as possible.

Thanks! I'm glad I'm on the right track. All inclusive beach holiday so there are activities for his age and a play park etc. I'll remember to pop a cuddle toy and a couple of books x
