Does anyone have an itinerary for Canada?

Ignoring the fact this is so late we have decided to go to Canada (2 adults and 2 sixthformers) in July-August for about 3 weeks (maybe slightly less). Obviously cannot do the whole thing but has any one got an itinerary from a previous trip or suggest what we could do in that time frame? Thanks.

We stayed in Vancouver, Hope (for family reasons), Revelstoke, Canmore, Mount Robson, Kamloops (to break the driving), Lions Bay, Vancouver Island, back to Vancouver. Several nights in each place other than Kamloops.

We saw so many incredible sights using each of those towns as a base - happy to tell you what we visited if you'd be interested Would have liked to have stayed in Whistler too, and we'll visit Alaska next time. We saw black bears and grizzlies in the wild and an orca family, it was incredible.

Be aware the tourist sites will be heaving at that time of year, it was very busy when we went out of season!

We flew to Calgary and spent 5 days in the Rockies ( Banff, Icefields parkway etc) then flew Calgary to Victoria and spent 5 days on Vancouver Island, then ferry to Vancouver for four days and flew home from there. We did everything via public transport /day trips because neither of us wanted to spend hours behind the wheel.

Amazing holiday - we also saw black bears/ grizzlies and whales.

we’ve also done an east/west split holiday where we had a week in Toronto which was great but I preferred Western Canada.

Flew into Halifax, train to Montreal, drove via Ontario and Niagara to Toronto, train to Jasper, bus transfer via Ice fields to Banf, train to Vancouver, ferry to Vancouver Island, ferry to Seattle, flew home.

Fly Airtransat if you can. We had so many problems with AirCanada/Lufthansa. Ended up having to book new flights the day before flying as we had been put on a waitlist (???), found out whilst trying to check in! Homeward bound flight also a complete cock up.

We did a similar itinerary, didn't go to Vancouver but spent a week in Vancouver island.
Flew in to Calgary and out of Vancouver island.
Amazing holiday. Would go back in a hear beat..

We did a week in the Rockies travelling from Calgary to Jasper and back to Calgary and flew into Tofino. We went as far as Port Mc Neill and stayed there for two days, went near and whale watching from Port Mc Neill..

Canada is a massive country with shitty transport links overall. Best thing to do is rent a car or a minivan.

If you can be more specific, I maybe able to help having lived for many years. Where would you like to go, anything particular you'd like to see or do? Outdoor activities or cultural etc

We went in 2019. Flew to Toronto and stayed there for about 3 nights then rented a car and travelled to Niagara on the Lake for a couple of nights I think. WE went to Niagara falls and the vineyards in that area. Then back to Toronto and we flew to Vancouver for a few nights and then went over to Vancouver island for a few nights. The final part of our trip was staying with friends on an island off Vancouver. Then home. It was about 2 weeks total and brilliant fun. Teens were age 18,15 and 13.
