I'm finally getting head around likely poss holiday (had misjudged re ASD kids willingness to try various options)
So now v short notice & shoestring budget. Cruise might work.

Looking for 2 adults & 1 x 16 y/o.
As cheap as possible.
Anything from 26 June - end July.

Where is best to look online please as I'm getting overwhelmed. Which are best discounted/ last min sites to check pls? Not being lazy, just trying to do efficiently?

I’m a travel agent and this kind of question is impossible to answer - just too many variables.

where region do you want to travel to? (Caribbean, N Europe, S Europe, Island hopping in Greece/Croatia, Eastern Europe, Iceland, transatlantic, river cruise etc …….)
for how long?
whats the budget?
Big/med/small ship
what sort of activities do you enjoy?
any disabilities of special requirements?

without this info and more I wouldn't even begin to suggest somewhere if you were my client…. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I second Iglu, they always give an extra £50 off

you can select if you want flights included, which port to depart from etc

Cuppateatea · 07/06/2024 18:25

P & O always have last minute cruises but I think you’ll struggle to find any cruise on a shoestring budget. They have 3 nights for under £400 but most will cost £800-£1k

medianewbie · 07/06/2024 18:40

@TimeToGoNuclear ah! yes: ideally round UK / N Europe (also southern Europe). Budget: £3k max. So, 7 nights max prob though we could do more. Size of ship etc - we'd take what we could get at this stage. I appreciate budget means inside teeny cabin, (prob at waterline level?) Does that mean seasickness any more likely? Are any of these routes 'better' re this in July?

@GoingOnHol thank you, I'll look (we're in Scotland so Southampton a schlep)

If you want to avoid seasickness you want to get a low down mid ship - in which case an inside cabin might be your best bet as it’s the most central!

Bolsover cruises are an excellent agent.

loveforty · 07/06/2024 22:02

You might struggle to get a 3 berth cabin at short notice as they're in high demand BUT if you got a decent bargain you'd get 2 cabins (and effectively pay for a 4th person) for 3k. If you went for a bargain 'saver' on P&O for example. But the 2 cabins would not necessarily be anywhere near each other. Would that matter?

Try Seascanner - a bit like skyscanner, but for cruises.
