Bayeaux/D Day beaches/Mt St Michel advice

Just after any tips on routes/must sees on the way/if crit'air sticker needed for upcoming short trip from anyone who has visited this region before.
-day 1 arrive early morning in Caen, plan to visit D Day beaches (particularly keen to see Gold beach as this is where my grandfather landed). Not sure if there is a particular museum or visitors centre for D Day beaches. Then drive on to Bayeaux for evening meal and overnight stay. Any recommendations on where to eat appreciated.
-day 2 go to see the Bayeaux tapestry, not sure if anything else worth seeing in Bayeaux before then driving to Mt St Michel. Any tips on how the parking for Mt St Michel works appreciated-assuming you park up before the slipway and walk in? Day 2 and 3 overnight stay here before driving to St Malo for ferry home.

Any advice welcome, thanks in advance.

I’m in the planning stage for doing a tour next year.
I fancy getting the Ferry from Portsmouth - Le Havre and coming back St Malo - Portsmouth.
I’ve found a site called The Gapdecaders , they’ve written a comprehensive guide to Normandy.

Trip advisor forums are normally good for advice too.

We stayed 4 nights in Caen and did trips out to Bayeux, Normandy beaches and a Cemetery from there. There is a cathedral in Bayeux which is worth seeing maybe.

We stayed overnight on Mont St Michel. You park and then take a coach over the causeway if memory serves me right. Staying overnight means you are there when it is less busy, though overnight is more expensive than the mainland.

If you have not been to St Malo that is worth viewing. (We are planning a day trip there again from Jersey this year.)

The Bayeux Tapestry, unlike many famous relics, does not disappoint. Not to be missed if you're in Normandy or Brittany.
