Hi all,

Apologies if this has already been asked but I am about to be 28 weeks pregnant and due to fly next Saturday and need a fit to fly certificate. My doctor's and midwife don't offer this so just wondering whether others have for theirs from. I'm flying Aer lingus as well so will need their form completed a longside the standard certificate.

Thanks in advance

Xx

I’m surprised your GP doesn’t offer it - sometimes they charge about £30 but will still do it, usually you just need to book an appointment so they can check you over.

Are there any other GP practices near you? Would it be worth giving them a call and asking if their clinic do them? Explain that yours does not and that it is required quickly.

Good luck!

My GP doesn't do them either, nor does my midwife team, I started a thread last year for advice as I was always flying Aer Lingus.

You can get a private certificate from plenty of companies online. You don't actually need to have the Aer Lingus fit to fly form filled in, you can have a doctor approved letter instead as long as it contains certain info. These screenshots are from an email I got from Aer Lingus last year confirming.

@FriendlyNeighbourhoodAccountant Thank you so much for the screenshots. I'll seek out an online company.

@VoiceofReason22 thank you too! Unfortunately not available in my area.
