Going to Orlando as Adults

I've always wanted to go, and finally booked it for June 2025 last night, 10 days staying room only on International Drive

I'm not a big traveller, only flown 3 times (Dublin, Cyprus and Turkey) ,preferring driving around Europe type holidays previously. DP hasn't flown since he was a teen. The airport makes me nervous, always seems to be an expectation that everyone just knows what they are doing haha

What have i done booking this haha!!?

I know we have to do our ESTA's, there will be no issue there. We will hire a car too.

Will we see everything we want, as adults in 3 days at Universal?
Would you do Disney too? We're unlikely to ever go back after this trip.

What else do people suggest? We are outdoorsy people and we do want to go to the beach for a day too (which one?!)

Help!!

We went as adults last September, also stayed on International Drive.
We did both Universal and Disney - several days at the parks including the water parks. I think you will find 3 days at Universal not enough!

Cocoa Beach is really nice and you can double up that day with a trip to Cape Kennedy Space Centre.
We got a deal with 14 day ticket to both Disney and Universal (just as cheap as buying odd days at each). This meant we could have morning in one park then go to another for the fireworks in the evening.

If you want to do Disney it's huge. You would need several days

Thanks both

I don't really know about Disney - is there much adults without children will want to see/do?

Cocoa Beach and Cape Kennedy Space Centre definitely sounds like a good day - thank you for the tip!

Get the mobile passport control app - then the queues at immigration are much shorter.

10 days is fine for Universal to do at a relaxed pace - do the parks early otherwise the wait times are horrible. Avoid water parks at the weekend.

if you’re on a budget for food - look for happy hours in the restaurants and join the loyalty clubs. Remember tips are at least 20% for a sit down meal.

take photo ID if you want a drink.

outlets are good if you like shopping

Disney is great - loads for adults outside of the Magic Kingdom

Universal is great, also loved Volcano Bay.

10 days will be a real squeeze if you're planning beach, off site attractions, 3 days universal and Disney, we didn't manage all that in 2 weeks. It seems a shame to go all that way and not do Disney, but there is no real way of doing that cheaply so you'll either want to commit to that or not. I suggest you watch some YouTube videos and decide if Disney is your bag or not, if you take Disney out the picture you will have plenty of time to do lots of other things. And yes there is loads for adults to do, I'd happily go without my kids 😂
