EasyJet holidays

I have booked flights with EasyJet in the past but am now thinking of booking a city break with them with the hotel included. It would only be a couple of night in a European city.

Has anyone done this? Were there any problems? We usually book package holidays with Tui.

Thank you

Yes EasyJet holidays are generally fine - most city breaks there won’t be a transfer included (as there will be public transport options) and it may be there is only a small bag or cabin bag included in the initial price.

Georgyporky · 30/05/2024 19:06

Done several, all been fine.
As above, transfer not included, but easy to pre-book elsewhere.

I used them for a trip to Rome and was very straightforward and easy. Booked my own transfer, which was super simple!

Bettyscakes · 30/05/2024 19:22

Yes we have done a package with them, no problems at all.

I went to a Greek Island recently and there was an EasyJet rep with a stand meeting people off the plane which I thought was a good sign.

grungey · 30/05/2024 19:29

Just be careful that you don't take a carry on to the plane (rather than a large bag that you need to check in) as only the free hand luggage is included, you can't take a wheeled carry on case into the cabin.

Yes we've done a summer holiday via EasyJet holidays and it was fab. Over the last couple of years, I've found them cheaper than the likes of Tui, Jet2, OTB & Love Holidays

That’s great.

Thank you!

We recently went to Venice a couple of times and I found EJ holidays very overpriced in comparison with what I could book privately. You don't need a rep or transfers in a city break. Plus they usually buy the cheapest rooms in any hotel (often of a basic type you can't even book yourself) then sell them to you at a mark up. I prefer to book flights and accommodation separately for a city break/anything other than a beach holiday.

DogInATent · 30/05/2024 22:06

Yes, we've done the city deal package with EasyJet once (and it included the transfer). We usually sort out our own accommodation on a city trip, but for this one EasyJet had a very good offer.

Booked Iceland through EJ Holidays and it was excellent - surprisingly so!

mejon · 30/05/2024 22:23

DD1 and I are off to Amsterdam in a fortnight on an Easyjet city break. We both have a 23kg suitcase allowance as well as a carry on bag within the holiday price. Highly unlikely that we'll need more than one small case between us. When I priced up flights and hotels independently, the cost of luggage was extra so I don't think it works out much cheaper.

TeenLifeMum · 30/05/2024 22:25

I did a last minute cheap EasyJet to Lanzarote and was really impressed. We looked at tui for our family holiday this year and found the same trip with easyjet with the same hotel and dates cost £1000 cheaper.

donutosaurus · 30/05/2024 22:34

We have booked our last two summer holidays through EJ and have booked again this summer.

So far, we haven't had any problems at all and they were the most competitively priced by some margin!

socialdilemmawhattodo · 30/05/2024 22:37

I've just booked a city break to a European destination (not beach or Mediterranean). We will be flying EasyJet but I booked the hotel separately. I had a notification about EasyJet Holidays so did investigate. Far more expensive and the same chain but not such a good location. No thanks - I am happy to book separately, and take out travel insurance.

socks1107 · 30/05/2024 22:51

We've done a few and have another booked. All been brilliant holidays

StiffyByngsDogBartholomew · 31/05/2024 01:43

I guess a big part is whether you need luggage over the basics. I can do a week on the EJ basic hand luggage so never book extra which I understand is included if you book a package

Decorhate · 31/05/2024 09:37

I looked into this recently & found it was a lot more expensive than booking the flights and same hotel separately. I would not have needed the lugdage allowance & transfer though. The other advantage of booking the package with EJ is you only need to pay a small deposit initially.

We had both a carry on bag and wheeled suitcases on our recent Easyjet flight but had to book either upfront or extra legroom.

Georgyporky · 01/06/2024 10:39

Check the EJ rules - holidays are more generous than flight-only trips.

LadyLapsang · 01/06/2024 20:26

We usually book our own hotels and don’t do packages, but we have had two EJ holidays this year and I have been really impressed and couldn’t have done it cheaper myself. We stayed in 5 star hotels on HB, a private transfer was included as was 23 kg hold luggage. We would usually take hand luggage only so I was a bit cautious about checking a case but it was great and much easier to pack when you aren’t restricted. The discount quoted was genuine. We got 1200 off the last break.

RheaRend · 01/06/2024 23:48

I went on an Easyjet city break last month to Amsterdam. Everything was fine, no issues at all. Baggage allowance was very generous for 3 nights (23kg hold luggage included) + hand luggage. No complaints at all.
