Hi all does anyone know the best website to use for cheap flights? I am wondering if sky scanner is the best?

(Not very well travelled!!)

Thank you x

Skyscanner is good as you can easily see flight prices across whole months.

Google Flights has a surprising number of features and is very easy to use.

Momondo can be helpful, if the route you want to fly is on there - especially Momondo Flight Insight

Once you know which airlines fly the route you are looking at, it’s worth checking when their sale usually is / signing up for sale alerts.

Skyscanner, Momondo or Kayak. Cheapest flights are generally with a stop over in the middle east or India, the longer the stopover the cheaper the flight! Or I have got a good price in the past with Swiss Air stopping in Geneva for a couple of hours.

I usually use skyscanner and sometimes Google flights. We’re heading to Thailand this summer and the cheapest flights we could get were with Finn Air via Helsinki.

I generally use Skyscanner too.
Strangely, I was chatting to a man who flies to Thailand often just yesterday! He said he gets a cheap flight from the UK to Helskini, then gets Finn air to Thailand. I haven't looked it up, but sometimes flying from a European airport can indeed be cheaper than UK ones.

Another option can be flying with a major airline to their home base (Singapore Air, Malaysian to KL) then getting a lower cost airline to Thailand. Pre-covid, you could get cheap, flat bed flights with Air Asia to KL. Not sure what its like now though. You do often need to look around and be flexible.
