Safari - tour operator in London

We are thinking of doing a Safari next Summer, July or early August, after A-Levels, DD will be just 18.
Does anyone can recommend a tour operator you can talk to in person? We live in SE London but are happy to travel a bit.

DD has ASD and that may mean we need to look at something more tailored to us.

Not quite what you're asking but I would highly recommend talking to the Royal Madikwe Lodge in the Madikwe Game Reserve (South Africa) directly as one of your options. They are a really amazing lodge - we have visited 3 times at different times of the year - they are very family focused. Twice we have been there at the same time as families with children with fairly severe special needs who have been accommodated with no fuss and lots of care and attention. They organise the transfers for you from Johannesburg and we have always has lovely drivers.

If you want an agent we have used Audley Travel a few times for other countries and had great service from them. All done over the phone but with one consistent point of contact.

Yellow Zebra Safaris would be my recommendation- I believe they still do in-person consultations at their Kingston offices, but I think you need to book

Go and talk to trailfinders, they are experts at bespoke solutions.

Another option is ones of the many cooperatives now offering bespoke trips, obviously you will not meet in person but you can talk to them via zoom - the one we looked at was in Botswana and run by women to benefit their communities and they were specifically funding a special needs school so should be much more understanding than a purely commercial business.

@mitogoshi I may then have to look for a different branch of Trailfinders. We used them two years ago to quote us for a US multi-destination trip and all they did was telling me the same things I got already from their website.

I see them as an expensive version of TUI but maybe it's just a bad experience.

Would online via Teams be OK? I've used Audley for this and found them very good. We've also booked via Steppes and you get to talk to a real person and can do a video call.

Steppes Ilona has lived in Africa and was very very knowledgeable. I'd call them and see if they can help.

Thanks. Teams or Zoom is definitely a possibility as well.

I make a list of the ones mentioned here and we start from there.

We booked our honeymoon to South Africa through Audleys and it was incredible and perfectly tailored to us!
