Ryanair Pram Policy Clarification

Hi all,
We have booked a short 1 week holiday to Spain.
Our little boy will be 4 months old.
My question is, our pushchair is like a 2 part thing, where the top part clips off, and the frame base folds up.
It this classed as two items by Ryanair, ie, folded pushchair frame, and the sleeping/sitting up part ? or is this still just 1 item?
I dread getting to the gate and Ryanair saying, "cant bring that pushchair"

It'll be 2 as you'll need 2 identification stickers (one for each part), but you can 2 baby items free so if you're not taking anything else then it should be a problem.

Thanks @stackhead
We won't be bringing anything else, so from what you say, we should be OK.
This will count a 2 items.
We would like to take our pushchair all the way to the gate, I guess that's not a problem with Ryanair ?

I’m not really sure if I’m understanding you correctly but with Ryanair you need to add a pram on , you can’t take it as hand luggage. Prams get really bashed about on aeroplanes, it will try scratched to buggery! Maybe buy a really cheap second hand fold up pram then it doesn’t matter about parts and if it gets damaged.

Get a travel bag for it! I bought one for my buggabo on eBay (and sold it after holiday), it all zipped together and was taken from us at the gate, came back with luggage.

We've always taken the pram right to the airplane and then it gets taken from the tarmac to the hold. It depends on the airport you're flying too as to when you see it again when you land!

Make sure you get the ID labels at check in.

If it comes on the luggage carousel make sure you check the oversized carousel! Made that mistake before when waiting for the pram at the normal luggage one.

But I second a PP about buying a cheapy pushchair. The handlers are not gentle!

I would buy a cheap light pushchair which you can recline so little one can nap but less likely to get ruined on the plane. Also easier in accommodation etc.

We have a beautiful iCandy Biscotti.
And as you already suggested, I have bought a nice second hand Cuggl for our travels.
