Looking at Lake Annecy Region for late June early July.
Don’t want a campsite as a bit tired of them so looking for any recommendations or tips?
Also what weather would we expect at that time? I expect it would be cooler as in the mountains? Want to avoid searing heat also!

It's so beautiful. But really expensive...

We’ve spent the last two summers at the southern end of the lake, which is quite a lot quieter than the north. It’s been pretty warm- 25-35 degrees - but it was August. We’ve really loved it. Our DC are 10 and 6, and it’s just right for them - lots of paddle boarding/ kayaking/ sailing/cycling. We’re going back again this year because it’s just so easy.

There are nice cyclists’ ice cream shops and cafes on the western- side bike path, near Duingt and a little bit further north, and we usually cycle to a lake beach like the one just south of Sevrier and have a picnic there. If you like cycling or running, it’s definitely worth trying to stay near the bike path - it’s much easier than driving in August, although that might be different earlier in the summer.

We also love Talloires and there are a couple of nice restaurants at Angon. If the little car park at Talloires is full, we have discovered that you can quite easily park at Angon and paddle board around, which the kids think is an adventure.

There is also a Go Ape-type place in the hills in the eastern side of the lake, which my kids love. You can sit in the picnic spot there and watch the paragliders run and take off over the lake. My DC think it’s amazing!

We stayed at Talloires and it was scorching hot. Pretty area and cooker if you can go a little way up the mountains.

We stayed in a B&B - Sourire du Lac - 5 km from Annecy, a stone's throw from the lake and the cycle path, in a quiet location on the edge of the forest. Walking distance from cafes and restaurants. The breakfasts were great - homemade jams, fresh orange juice and all sorts of omelettes.

Annecy is mind blowingly beautiful. We found the Airbnb's a lot more reasonably priced than any other accommodation and there are plenty about. We stayed in the Old Town, gorgeous place to wander about in the evening looking for restaurants. Plenty of choice for all tastes and budgets.
