Like Isles of Scilly on UK mainland?

We have a sentimental connection to Scilly Isles but they are so hard to get to - just wondering if anyone knows of somewhere similar or inspired by the Isles on the UK mainland? For example, is there a garden anywhere inspired by the flora of the Scilly Isles which I believe is quite unique?

It's a big birthday for a family member and we would like a short holiday to celebrate, for various reasons we can't make it to the actual Isles but a nod to them somehow would mean a lot.

Going off at a complete tangent and not answering your original question here, but the landscapes (seascapes?) most reminiscent of the Scillies IMO are on the N. coast of Brittany. All those truly excessive quantities of rocks (I have sailed in the Scillies. You spend a lot of time with your heart in your mouth avoiding rocks 😬) and lots of islands of various flavours.

Otherwise, check out the great gardens of Cornwall- places like Trebah, Tremenheere sculpture garden. But mainland Cornwall doesn't have that low lying, rocks and islands and more rocks feel that the Scillies and Brittany do.

As PP has said, the great gardens of south Cornwall share some of the characteristics of Scilly. I love Trengwainton, west of Penzance. West Cornwall has the same unbelievable light, with the all-embracing sea acting as a giant reflector. But you are right, Scilly is utterly unique, especially the Abbey Gardens on Tresco.

Bit of a curve ball, but at the other end of Britain, The Gulf Stream makes the NW coast of Scotland warmer than you think it should be, and some lovely gardens like Inverewe. Although NW Scotland may not be that much easier for you to get to than the Isles of Scilly. In Northumberland, Cragside has a spectacular garden and grounds and a remarkable Arts and Crafts house.

Another Island but the Isle of Wight has beautiful gardens

We love the Scillies! But, as you know, they are quite unique. What is it about getting there that's hard - cost, time, travel across the sea, all of the above? Just wondering if that might help suggest alternatives.
The far-West of Cornwall has the golden beaches and granite coasts. But not the low-lying island feel. I'd guess the most similar gardens are the Cornish ones - Trebah is lovely, Heligan? Glendurgan?
We went to the Isle of Wight a couple of years ago and, while it's very different, it still has that island-feel.
Totally agree with the person above who mentioned Brittany. We've had some very happy visits to the Roscoff area and lots of the rest of it is lovely too. But probably as hard to reach as the Scillies!

RHS Wisley is a beautiful gardens and the Head gardener at Tresco came from there but its obviously not like being on an island.

Pembrokeshire in Wales is nice and puffin boat trips have started to Skomer but don't know if that would be any easier than getting to Isles of Scilly.

Similar for Lundy, island off Devon.

Thank you! Lots of areas to consider I will do some more research.

We live in the North of England and this break is going to be 3 or 4 nights long so scillies feel unfeasible as it would take so long to travel there for such a short time. I've not looked at cost but my instinct is that that would be prohibitive too.

Funnily enough we have been to roscoff many moons ago!
