Quiet, cultural, bike ride-y ibiza

First of all, I thought I would never have considered Ibiza for a holiday in a million years, but I mentioned to my DS16 that I'd seen some cheap flights for the end of the Easter holidays and he said that he's heard its a good place for cycling, which he loves. So anyway, I'm now madly looking into it, but would want to stay somewhere well away from the nightlife. My holidays are usually centred around cathedrals and museums and nature walks 😅 I do know that Ibiza is lovely and very cultural when you know where to look. So, can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm thinking west or north for the sunset, but also how do we get around (including from the airport) so we can get into the countryside and hills? We'll only be there for two days, so trying to pack a lot in and don't want to waste a minute!
Also, my biggest fear is a rowdy plane journey, which is why I've always avoided Spain-y type holidays. But is it usually ok? Especially in early April rather than peak season...

I went to Ibiza last year with my 2 DS, 11 and 9, I love it and had been twice previously before kids. We stayed in Santa Eulalia, it's absolutely beautiful over the east coast and much quieter than San Antonio, Ibiza Town etc though we did visit Ibiza Town a couple of times, love the cosmopolitan feel of it! Used the buses which were pretty good. It's not a huge island therefore can't see it taking too long to get round, I have a friend who hired a bike and cycled round the whole island. As for the flight this worried me too but our flights going and coming back were fine, my DS with asd was probably the most rowdy on the plane going back as he was a bit upset! Our flight going out was early morning and we chose to sit near the front of the plane so might have made a difference but there were lots of couples/families on the plane. Go, it's a beautiful island you won't regret it!

Op you don't need to worry about night life in April, that scene is closed till the start of the season, flights are mainly full of owners checking on their properties. I would suggest Santa Eulalia too as it has a bike shop, central bus station and good access for a short trip. Do make time to go to Ibiza Old Town, it's a UNESCO world heritage site and beautiful. There are lots of websites that will highlight cycle routes as well as a good book on Amazon that details bike rides, hikes and car routes (it's the only one on Amazon). Santa Eulalia is a working town so has open facilities year round, with good value restaurants and bars. Cycling is hilly and particularly scenic in the north so Portinax or San Miguel are also good alternatives. For inspiration on Instagram check out Ibiza Hike Station.

Thank you both! I've been looking at where you suggested. There are some wild prices for two nights lol!! But a few places just outside Santa Eulalia seem ok. I keep seeing people mention the sunset - will we be able to see this from anywhere on the island? Maybe up a hill?

You want West Coast for sunset, check out sunset ashram and hostal LA Torre, you don't have to eat there but you can pack a few drinks and sit on the beach/rocks. Neither are accessible by public transport though. If you want sunset and use buses, consider San Antonio by the marina, again in April you won't have the ott clubbing / drunken vibe along the cafe del mar strip but you should get a nice sunset.
