European holiday resort suitable for friend with walking difficulties

A good friend of mine has MS and osteoporosis and has been through a lot lately so we thought we would have a mini break just the two of us.

She can walk with assistance and a stick but not far at all (won't use a wheelchair) and is looking for a memorable break 4/5 nights where we can see and do things but all made very easy.

She loves to eat out in the evenings but also open to a half board hotel with fabulous evening entertainment so we have the option to stay onsite. Pool if possible as we both love to swim. It's the resort we are most concerned about obviously needs to be flat and easy to get around with places to rest. But things to see and do / suitable excursions if possible?

I have not been away with her before and I really want to create fantastic memories for us both. She has special assistance at airports so no issues with that at all.

Would really appreciate some ideas if you or your loved ones have limited mobility as I don't want to let her down and we both want to go somewhere we have not been before. Open to beach / city breaks. Many thanks!

Lanzarote is extremely wheelchair friendly, I know you say she won't use one but it's because its very flat and easy access to all the restaurants. Very good taxi service too.

Watching as want to know too.

How do you want to get around? Car? Public transport? How far can friend walk?

We’ve found Fuengirola to be very accessible. Lots of good public transport, lovely beach with lots of accessible public toilets on the beach too. It’s flat too.

I took Dad to Lanzarote last year. We hired him a mobility scooter and he fucked off for miles without me 😂 Highly recommend.

Look at Funchal. Madeira itself is very hilly, but the town is doable. Public transport & taxis are good & fairly cheap. Plenty of hotels to choose from, but I'd pick one in the town itself.
I use a walking stick, & found it easy to get around.
Lots of good restaurants

The area of Nice that is of interest to tourists, including the old town, is almost entirely flat and there’s good public transport. Nearly everywhere we went, there was a way to avoid steps. For example, at the Matisse museum there was a step free entrance at the back and lifts inside. There’s a lovely smooth tree-lined promenade along the waterfront and a scenic train that goes along the coast to some other nice accessible towns/cities such as Cannes, Antibes and Monaco. The port area of Villefranche, which is a must IMO, is flat. Most of the Monaco accessible tourist attractions are located in Monaco-Ville with small distances between them.

Also came on to say Nice. Flat to walk around, clean and a few large squares so won't feel jostled.

Lake Garda. Lots of lakeside paths and promenades, boats or bus to get from one resort to another.

Don't know how old you both are, but have a look at Saga holidays for resort and hotel ideas. As they cater to an older demographic.

Cala Bona in Mallorca is very disability-friendly. Also, in many places all around Europe you can rent a mobility scooter.
