Child throwing up and due to fly home. Advice!

My child started being sick in the night. She has a mild soya allergy so I assumed something had slipped past us but she is still being sick which means it’s probably something else. We are due to fly home later today (from Tenerife)). she has no other symptoms -no temperature or headache. Just vomiting. Anyone been in this situation before? She is 10. Any suggestions?

Oh no OP! I'm sorry! I don't have any advice, just a bit of a handhold as this is my worst nightmare.

People travel ill. See how you and she feel. You’ll know if it’s impossible.

Does sound like a bug.

My ds threw up on the plane on the way home once as he thought it was a good idea to down a pint of orange juice we had left over 🙄

Call your insurers and tell them the situation, you might need to get a medical note from a clinic / pharmacist / Dr locally.

They'll advise what they'll cover if you can't travel today. Worth checking with accommodation if they can accommodate you another night, and availability of flights tomorrow, so you know where you are with your plan B.

Depending on the make up of your family possibly send everyone but one adult and DD home as planned today and only 2 of you stay on.

Hope she's feeling better soon x

Thanks everyone. We managed to see a doctor and after paying an absolute fortune (thank goodness for insurance) we managed to get some anti-sickness meds and rehydration solution. It was touch and go as to whether we would fly but by the time it came to check in she was able to stand for a bit and no longer looked grey complete with sunken eyes. The cabin crew were great and it being Spain even the security people didn’t question the liquid being taken on board. Phew.
