Any ideas how to pass the time? Me and DS aged 27 😁 we've managed to get some cheap flights and it's a place I've always fancied.

Get a Copenhagen pass - you can pre order and pick up at the airport I think as this covers your entrance to lots of attractions and covers public transport I think.
There is loads to do - Tivoli gardens, the palace, wander round the hippie bit, a boat trip and so much more. Eating can be pricey but there are lots of food stalls and Danish bakeries.

Tivoli Gardens doesn't open until Easter, but there's still so much to do! Look on the list of attractions coveted by the copenhagen card as a start (but don't bother with the little mermaid). I'll be there soon too - second visit but first time with a toddler 😬no visits to Noma this time!

visit the mermaid ,
I think Tivoli Garden does fireworks on a sat night too

lots of places to eat , sit and have a drink

we also went to the zoo to see the pandas , a bit random but good fun

Glyptotek museum if you like museums - it's a good one and the name is one of my favourite words in the world! 😂

The Kongelige Bibliotek, (black diamond building) is a spectacular building.

I also like the Rundetaarn (round tower) if you don't mind walking up hill to get to the top of the tower - great views and there are often special exhibitions on too.

Simply strolling down Strøget is nice if the weather is nice - it takes you right to the harbour (Nyhavn) with lots of lovely bars and restaurants.

Amalienborg and Rosenborg palaces, the design museum and the little mermaid statue are all nearby and it's a nice walk if the weather is good. Be warned though that the mermaid is tiny and the wind can be really biting walking there - hat and scarf essential.

Carlsberg is a bit further out - you can take the tram or walk. Nice brewery tour and museum.

Copenhagen is a small city and if you wanted to, you could probably see all these in the 2 days if you put your mind to it but its also a wonderful city for just bimbling around and stopping for coffees, walking round parks and taking a look at whatever strikes your fancy.

I used to live there and I'm super jealous of you as I live on the other side of the world now and don't get back very often. Have a wonderful time!

Loved The Meatpacking District. Christiania is interesting. Travel Man : 48 Hours in Copenhagen might be worth watching.

Get the Copenhagen Card and do everything you like the look of that it covers, stopping for a pastry every time you feel a bit peckish. We did not eat a single disappointing meal or snack the whole time we were there but I would especially recommend the Andersen Bakery.

We especially loved the prehistoric bits of the Museum of Denmark and I would highly recommend it if you're interested in pre Christian rituals and old things fished out of bogs. Rosenborg Castle was also pretty good, and the Workers Museum does a mix of trade union history and early 20th century interiors.
