Canada Road Trip

Hi
we are planning a 2-3 week holiday to Canada next July with our 2 teens to celebrate end of GCSEs and ALevels
just starting to research and look at destinations timescales in each area. We would also like 5 days at the end to just chill before flying home.

has anyone done something similar and have any recommendations. Did you book yourself or use a company.

many thanks

I've been to Canada 3 times:
West coast (Vancouver, Vancouver Island, Calgary, Rockies and drive back to Vancouver)
East - Montreal, lots of 'of the beaten track' places to the north of there, ending in Quebec

Toronto - 4 day city break

I loved both road trips - they were very different from each other, but both rank up there in my favourite holidays.
I didn't love Toronto. It was OK, but not a city I'd recommend to anyone for anything in particular, and I wouldn't go back. Nothing wrong with it, per se, but just didn't float my boat.

A few things to factor in...
Driving is very easy, but the distances are long - particularly if you're in the mountains
We found it very expensive last time we were there (pre-covid) - the cost of food and drink was a lot more than we expected/had remembered.
There are so many amazing places to see - don't try and cram too much in. Enjoy places properly rather than rushing from one to the next.
