Thermal Spas Near the Coast and Good Public Transport Reccys, Please?

I'm a solo traveller who's need of a good 7/10 day holiday somewhere in Europe. I don't particularly like the heat, so travelling somewhere cooler will be a bonus. I'm partial to a thermal spa/spring and I'd like to visit them within close proximity to the beach or if public transport is feasible to get there. I usually do AirBnB but don't mind a package deal (from EMA ideally, or similar, if not, London). I know this seems like a tall order, but does my requirements seem too specific? I don't drive, so having public transport is a must.

I thought about Turkey, but I'm not sure if it's the best country for thermal springs or there a few and far between.

Thanks for reading.

Budapest (Kiraly, gallert or schzeni- I've spelt the last one wrong!)

Have been sent information about one in Bucharest which is supposed to be good value that I need to look into.

My understanding is that you're more likely to get hammams in Turkey rather than spas due to the traditional no no to standing water.

I prefer the thermal spas as I like to believe in the hype about the beneficial effects of the various minerals. I went to Japan some years ago and was amazed by how good they were there, and since then, not heard of any that are anywhere close to what they had there (clean, beautiful surroundings, quiet and very affordable). Not bothered about chlorinated baths, though.

Reykjavik? There is a new Sky spa that opened a few years ago.

The National Geographic Travel magazine has a Spa supplement this month.

No beach but there are some lovely spa towns in Germany like Baden-Baden or Bad Krozingen. The last town / area does a tourist ticket for public transport, so no need for a car. Black Forrest is lovely with plenty to see and do!

Aix-le-Bains is on a big lake with spas, or it's about 4h by TGV to Montpellier.

Not close to the beach (although it has a lake nearby), and being inland can get hot in the high summer, but Luhačovice in Czechia is gorgeous. It's set in a verdant valley, it's not so well know to us in the West, which means it's a bit cheaper. Also, every one of the springs is a seperate spring, unlike everywhere else, which all come from the same spring.

They now have a train station (they didn't when I last visited!), and direct trains from Prague taking a bit over 4 hours. It's a superb place for relaxing. May be a bit small for 10 days.

Luhačovice // An Authentic Czech Spa Town

I’ve known for a long time that I wanted to visit a Czech spa town.  The only problem is, the most famous ones are too famous.  I didn’t want to spend my holiday among the foreign crowds that flock…

Lots of thermal baths in Iceland, mostly very near the coast. The Blue Lagoon isn't a natural bath though as it's the marginally cooled water from the local hot water fed power plant. Iceland runs hot water for heating and hot water taps out to the population which is pretty incredible - helps to be be an island split by a tectonic plate or two I suppose....

Budapest thermal baths are absolutely heavenly. Especially Szechenyi - it looks like a wedding cake. But nowhere near the coast.

Essentially, mainland Europe has fewer hot springs than you might think because there are fewer fault lines and no splits between the tectonic plates beneath us. That just means that to find hot water we have to look harder or dig deeper.
