Midlands to Disneyland Paris

Has anyone from the midlands travelled to Disneyland Paris and can offer some advice on the best way to travel?

We're looking to go later this year, there will be 2 adults and 2 children aged 4 and 2.

My partner would like to drive but I think it'll be best to fly and get a private transfer from cdg to the Disneyland based hotel(we live about 30 minutes from BHX).

Any advice appreciated Smile

Easyjet or Air France from Birmingham to Paris CDG, and then there is a bus to Disneyland

We flew from BHX to CDG and then got a train from CDG straight to the park, it was easy peasy.

I usually drive from South Wales with a friend but next trip is shorter so flying.

My default would be to drive, but it doesn’t make sense to spend longer travelling than we have there.

It’s cheaper for 4 to drive than it is to fly and get transfers etc.

Thanks all, it's mostly having 2 toddlers with us that is making our decision more complicated. I saw the train/bus options but thought that might be difficult with 2 toddlers and all the luggage? Never done it before though so happy to be corrected!
@OneMoreTime23 we'll be there 5 nights so quite a while, my partner seems to think it's a no brainer to drive!

We drove from Leicester, pretty easy, but was part of a longer trip

We drove to Dover stayed in premier in and got early train the next morning, DLP is about 4hrs from Calais. Crossing is only 35mimnd and France is an hours behind so if you get on a 730am train you can be at DLP by 1030.

For those exact reasons, 2 under 5s we drove via Eurotunnel as part of a longer trip. Coquelles to DLP is circa 3hr.

I compared the cost of 5 on a bus to a private taxi (CDG to a hotel near DLP) and the taxi was cheaper. It was with BOLT- so easy to use and there within minutes. No need to prebook. The chat function with the driver automatically translates. Got a discount for the first few rides for downloading the app too. Would definitely recommend. My kids are older though- one an adult- so it maybe cheaper for you on the bus.

We drove from Nottingham with 3 kids. Late eurotunnel and stayed in Calais overnight when we arrived before setting off early in the morning. Worked well.

Definitely drive. I flew with DD at 3.5 and had to wear half of my clothes home due to overweight luggage. 😂

We live in the SE and go all the time , I’m invariably on the channel tunnel with lots of people who have driven from elsewhere the day before and stayed overnight . It’s much more convenient to drive , you have no luggage restrictions , no real timing restrictions and it’s a very easy drive on the other side .

OneMoreTime23 · 21/02/2024 15:46

Think we’ve stayed overnight once. Go straight through now. It’s really easy.
