Anyone been on a cruise to Amsterdam with P&O? What activities are on board? We enjoy the cinema, theatre and the gym. Trying to get OH to go this summer 🤦‍♀️

We've just booked the October 1/2 term cruise on Arvia, then read reviews and I bit worried at the mix...any info would be great!!

Well I've finally managed to see the ferry and there seems like there's loads to do including a gym and a cinema which is good. Just need to twist OHs arm lol 😆

Have a look on cruise critic website on the p and o forum you might find some reviews and other useful info there. That's what I did before we went on with them (on Iona to Norway)

You have to pre book things like the theatre and the limelight and the dinner show and I know some people on our cruise were unsuccessful.

We didn't bother using the cinema as we had seen the films they were showing.

Done 15+ cruises on P&O ships. Did use to be catered towards the older generation but over time have become more family friendly and cater for all ages. The shorter cruises, you tend to get younger people onboard - stag/hen parties even so can be a bit crazy.
I would choose a newer ship - Britannia, Iona, Arvia for better choice of activities.

Ooh thank you for the replies. I will bear them in mind. Never thought about Hen/Stag do's.

You mentioned ferry so are you looking at P&O ferries or P&O cruises. They are not the same company and there is a big difference between a ferry crossing to Amsterdam and a cruise that includes Amsterdam

I'm going on Arvia in August. I've heard good things so far, so fingers crossed it should be good.

These short ones are definitely considered booze cruises so bear that in mind!

There’s lots of activities on board, I particularly enjoy all the live music options. I’ve been on 22 cruises including one short one with P&O.
P&O is definitely cheap and cheerful compared to a lot of other cruise lines but I found it good fun and would cruise with them again.
I did a three night one and paid to eat in speciality restaurants each evening which were really good value but this was just a personal choice thing.
I didn’t notice any stag dos, the atmosphere was nice. I spent the day at sea going to various seminars, quizzes, concerts, sitting in the jacuzzi and chilling on the balcony. Then I went on a really good excursion on out port day.
Do you mean P&O ferry or P&O ship?
I did a ferry mini holiday to Germany one year and that was grim, I spent half the holiday being travel sick and the other half thinking why am I here?
Sorry I just reread your post and did a quick Google and do you mean cruise with P&O cruise company or a Cruise with P&O ferries as both cruise to Amsterdam? If it’s the second option then ignore my post.
