Solo parent with toddler weekend break?

Not a city break, more a spa/pool type thing if those exist? I'm guessing not, but I can try. Toddler is fairly laid back and wouldn't need lots of other entertainment apart from the pool & even better a kids club. Ideally not butlins type thing as I wouldn't enjoy that (not without lots of booze!) and they are still too young to appreciate it properly.
I can't afford a proper holiday and have no childcare so was wondering if a UK hotel with a pool might be a comprise?

Tbh OP going away with a toddler and their routine going out the window, sleep affected and the usual battles of wills... For me it isn't worth it. Unless I'm visiting family or friends. Can you visit anyone? And then check out their local pools

When ds was about 10m we stayed at a hotel on exmouth which was walking distance to the sea and had a pool. He enjoyed it and I think I could imagine doing it solo. We visited nearby family so just used it as a base but it’s worth looking at.

Where are you based OP? How long would you travel to get there?

Woolley Grange is what you’re after. It’s totally set up for kids, with a pool and childcare. Not cheap, however.

Searles in Hunstanton has a pool
and some lodges have hot tubs, so you could at least do that once your DD is asleep.

Crieff hydro is great for kids

As a pp mentioned, Woolley Grange or one of the other in the Luxury Family Hotels group is what you need - they're really well set up for toddlers, have a pool, you get some free creche hours too, lots of toys and kids activities, kids cinema room etc but they feel like a proper grown-up fancy hotel at the same time. We've been to a couple, the Ickworth is my favourite. They are not cheap at all but you can sometimes get special offers especially out of the school holidays.

Any interest in Cambridge? I stayed at the Graduate in Cambridge last year and it was lovely - nice pool area (though no kids club) and they have good deals on. The rooms also have views of the river which is nice.

Otherwise, have a look on somewhere like booking.com - enter your dates, filter for what you want (pool, maybe 8+ rating) and your budget, and it will show you nearly everything in the country.

Crieff Hydro might suit but it's a long way if you live down south!
