Ryan air and Zinc Flyte scooter cases

So, we’re off on holiday soon. My kids need something to get them through the airport car parks etc.

I’m not sold on the Trunki’s at the moment but I was interested to know if anyone has tried to board a RyanAir flight with a Zinc Flyte scooter case or something similar with their little ones?

I tried the RyanAir chat thing but I might as well smashed my head against a brick wall. Ended up none the wiser.

Does anybody have any first hand experience with this?

Thanks in advance!

Do they fit the dimensions given for hand luggage? Have you paid for a carry on bag or are you just taking the free hand luggage bag

Did you find out? I never had a problem with my eldest but that was some 5 years ago and I’m worried because I’ve never flown with Ryanair and they’re known for being the worst for it.

Just look at the size on the website where it's sold. For example, this one https://zincsports.com/products/copy-of-flyte-midi-18-inch-stephen-the-spaceman-scooter-suitcase is 50x33x26 and Ryanair's overhead locker limit is 55x40x20. So this bag won't fit the sizer and you wouldn't be allowed to fly with it -- you'd have to check it in at the gate for ££££. Unless they don't check, but that's a huge lottery.

For what it's worth I don't know any airline that allows the smallest dimension of a cabin bag to exceed 25cm in economy. TUI is 55x40x20 like Ryanair, EasyJet is 50x40x20, WizzAir is 55x40x23, and Jet2 and BA are 56x45x25 (so close!).

They squish though that’s the thing. I’ve seen a video of them actually fitting in the cabin bag things at the airport but it was 5 years ago so I don’t know if the cabin allowance has changed or not because I have never had an issue with it before either. It always fit in TUI ones.
