Has anyone booked a package holiday with loveholidays? Any problems?

Hi, I was wondering whether anyone had booked a package holiday through the online operator 'loveholidays'? There quote seems to be coming out a lot cheaper compared to Tui and other holiday companies. They use Tui airlines for the flight but still are a lot cheaper than booking the same holiday thtough Tui. Am i missing something?

Thanks in advance

I have been on two trips with them and both were great. As, others have said it is important to have the app to check your booking. You also need to have the airline your flying with app too. We are just about to go on another holiday with them and yesterday they sent us information about road closures which may impact on our journey to the airport. They now do experiences (through a third party).

AVOID at all cost.
They gave me wrong flight times leaving UK
Missed our flight.
Had to uber a child hone due to anxiety, Uber to another city and booked a hotel for 3.
Had to buy new flights for next morning.
As you can imagine, this cost almost a grand extra.
The flight home was also wrong, was picked up from the hotel as planned by the transfer which was on time. But our flight ho e eas changed but wasn't showing on app.
We sat at the airport for 10 HOURS!
All because of s mistake by LOVEHOLIDAYS

Only used them once but absolutely no issues

Stay well away from Love Holidays.
Booked with them, made an amendment to the holiday a week before after it was agreed and hen paid for.
The day of the holiday came and all was good till we got to the hotel, only to find out no accommodation was booked, after 3 hours of speaking to the online emergency chat, was thrown out with enjoy your holiday and then had to call the emergency number, after a further 2 hours we finally got a room for the night after paying for it. Was informed in writing send the receipt to claim back, but that was a struggle as they didn't wish to know. Then the following day was booked into a different hotel, but only at room, Breakfast and dinner, not all inclusive as paid for.
Yes I got the room money back and a £50 good will gesture

But would never use Love Holidays again.

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding a distressing experience stemming from a significant lack of information and unacceptable support associated with my booking reference #LOV10078139R.

As an Indian passport holder with an Irish Stamp 1G visa, I booked a return trip to Dubai through your platform, which included a layover in the United Kingdom on the return journey. At no point during the booking process or in subsequent documentation was I informed that a UK transit visa was required for my nationality.

Upon reaching Dublin Airport, I was told by airport staff that I could travel to Dubai, but I would not be allowed to return on the booked flight due to the UK layover, as I did not hold a UK transit visa. This came as a complete shock. I had assumed, as most customers would, that a travel agent like Loveholidays would flag critical visa requirements—especially when selling international itineraries that pass through a country like the UK.

In that moment of confusion and urgency, I contacted your customer service team and was on the phone for 41 minutes. The call began with a recorded message stating it would be recorded — I insist you review the recording for full context.

During the call:

  • I explained the situation clearly,
  • I was given contradictory and unclear information,
  • Placed on prolonged holds, and
  • Eventually told there was nothing Loveholidays could do.

I asked if I could be rebooked on a direct flight from Dubai to Dublin, and the response was:
No — you’ll have to book it yourself.

To add insult to injury, the agent also sarcastically remarked that she had been “stuck with me on the call for 41 minutes” — a comment that was both unprofessional and unacceptable, especially during a customer’s moment of distress.

As if that wasn’t enough, when I asked about the Just Cover travel protection I had paid €44.92 for, I was flatly told to

“Just claim it from your travel insurance.”

A truly remarkable example of how to hand off a customer issue without taking the slightest ownership—not quite the “helpful, supportive” service one expects when they book through a travel agency.

As a result of this complete lack of guidance and support, I had no choice but to book a last-minute direct Emirates flight from Dubai to Dublin, costing me €700. I will be contacting Just Cover separately for their role in this experience, but that does not absolve Loveholidays of failing at the very basics of customer service and due diligence.

Let’s also not forget:

Loveholidays promotes itself with slogans like:
“Holidays made simple,”
“Stress-free getaways,”
and “We take the hassle out of travel.”

This experience has been the complete opposite of that.

  • My travel plans were disrupted,
  • I was left to solve the crisis alone,
  • And I encountered a lack of empathy and ownership that still astonishes me.

I am now formally requesting:

  1. A full reimbursement of the €700 spent on the emergency direct flight.
  2. A formal explanation for the failure to inform me of the UK transit visa requirement.
  3. A review of the poor handling and inappropriate conduct of your customer service agent during the call.

If a satisfactory response is not provided, I will escalate this to the Commission for Aviation Regulation, the European Consumer Centre Ireland, and I will share my experience across consumer platforms including Trustpilot, Google Reviews, and social media.

I have all supporting documentation available including booking confirmations, flight receipts, and can share proof of the call duration.

Please treat this matter with urgency and seriousness. This has caused me unnecessary financial stress, emotional distress, and complete dissatisfaction with your service.

@CDivyahave you had a response to that ?

I booked a last minute holiday to salou with love holidays, the website allowed me to book a self catering apartment, sent me my booking confirmation but then I discovered the hotel doesn't have self catering just room only, after many chats with a robot eventually I got talking to a human being, who took no responsibility at all for the error, and because the holiday was within 5 days I could not amend my booking but thankfully I could change hotels after alot of begging (for a fee I might add) and also the hotel was more expensive than the original and in a very remote area . The customer service employee was nice and helpful but made me feel that I made a silly mistake when booking, the only reason I discovered they don't do self catering was because there was no photos of a kitchen area so I rang the hotel and they confirmed it. I won't be using love holidays again, I'll just book everything separate myself

I’ve just been to Benidorm with them, all good

Pinkdreams · 26/04/2025 22:33

Used them twice.

first time the only issue was transport however I don’t know if this was love holidays fault or the transport company, we booked transfers to and from the airport, going there was no issue, however at 2am on the way back to the airport our transfer was a no show. One and half hour drive from the airport.

second time no problem.

Be aware, the Company they are re-knowned for poor Customer Services and fall short in this area, check, that the pictures truly shown are up to date ones, check that you have everything including transfers to and from your hotel before you start you purchase, record any conversations and document everthing, as if they have a representative at the site and get their details, they are capable of just speedily booking a holiday and taking payment, they do not have the capability of dealing very well with problems and do not conclude to help the customer, check the reviews on Trust Pilot and on facebook, I personally would not book with them they are rude inconsistant and lack respect for any problems they have this special brush and a carpet, most likely you will end up under it.
