Insurance for a child with a pre-existing medical condition

Does anyone have any recommendations for who to contact about travel insurance for a child with a pre-existing medical condition? DS2 has a lung condition that doesn't really fit in the chronic categories that the drop down forms have, so I'd like to speak to someone in person about it to make sure that we definitely have the right cover.

Try Fish. They provide insurance for adults with disabilities so I would think they'll also insure children.

I haven’t any recommendations as I can’t remember how we have sorted this kind of thing in the past but if I do I will post! But empathy as it is a really annoying exercise . Sometimes associations/charities will have advice /recommendations of providers that will cover specific things

I'm going through the same thing for myself. So far World First have come up best for me but also try moneysupermarket.com as you can add pre-existing conditions to the comparison.

Be careful that some of the cheaper quotes actually cover the condition rather than just exclude it

We've always used InsuranceWith as our daughter has Cystic Fibrosis (although she keeps very well). Never spoke to anyone in person though.

Thank you! I've got a quote from AllClear (who Fish redirected to - thanks @AgnesX).

I'll check that out @DaftFlerken - one of the issues I'm running into is that the prescreening questions really assume it's an adult trying. I've had to put down that I can't comment on his breathing while walking because of an unrelated medical condition, as there's not an option to say he's too young to walk!

I'm glad your daughter is doing so well @ThereIsIron, and I'll definitely look into that company.

(As an aside @Kingsx1 - I did a Google search for "Bliss Travel Insurance", as Bliss is the neonatal charity. It turns out Bliss is also a cruise line for swingers, and they recommend travel insurance!)

I found All clear really expensive for my condition. Might be worth calling them instead OP
