Tell me about Puglia

I’m tempted to book a week in Puglia at Easter. I don’t know much about the region other than that it looks really pretty. Any suggestions or recommendations?

I’m currently looking at flights to Brindisi and accommodation in Gallipoli but am open to alternative suggestions from people who know the area.

We went in May on the train! it's a long way! We stayed 10 days in Monopoli and did a few days out other towns - Alberobello, Polignano, Ostuni etc and a couple of days on the beach south of the town. Absolutely loved it and we plan to go back next year - Lecce, Otranto, Gallipolli etc. It's a bit more a fiddle without a car, but doable by train (for the trullis we had a local driver take us out)

Don't bother with Brindisi it's a poo hole.
Agree with PP Greece is much nicer
