DLP in June

Early stages of planning a trip to Disneyland Paris first week of June thus avoiding peak holiday season.
i know it will be less busy than the previous (whit) week and also July/august but how busy do you reckon ?
we went to Efteling that week last year and it was busy but the longest queue was about 15 minutes. Will it be similar or is that wildly optimistic.
if that is wildly optimistic I’ll reconsider! Seems about 50% cheaper than the previous week which is something.

ps we would be there midweek likely Tues-Fri so avoid the weekend

I'd say midweek you'd be looking at roughly 45 - 60 minutes at peak times for the busiest rides, so Peter Pan, Big Thunder, Crushes Coaster etc. Definitely advise downloading the DLP app if you haven't already got it to check times.

Are you planning on staying on site? If so (providing they still do it) they offer extra magic hours, so if you time it strategically, you can tick off some more popular rides early on, when the queues are shorter 😊

Thanks. I thought early June would not be classed as peak? Def not peak prices!

I meant peak time of day, so late morning into early afternoon :)

We were there during covid times in February midweek and still 40 - 60 mins plus queue times for the most popular rides. 15 mins queue time is wildly optimistic I think.

StillWantingADog · 05/01/2024 18:22

@alicelauraa
ah ok. So careful planning required then. Will the less popular stuff have less queueing do you think? I’m not spending £1k to stand in multiple queues, frankly

Urgh. Thanks. May rethink.

Yep! The app is really helpful for planning as you can see queue times in realtime. If you're staying on site make use of extra magic hours and get the most popular rides done first thing and then as people filter out by mid to late afternoon you could potentially do them again.
Other rides like pirates of the Carribbean have such quick moving queues that you don't tend to queue for too long anyway. Are you going with very young children? If not, make use of single rider lines for Crushes Coaster and Ratatouille, you'll often find you end up in the same car but possibly one in front and one behind as opposed to sat next to eachother.
Given that you're there for a good few days I doubt you'll struggle to get on everything, it just might be that you don't do every ride every day.

Very useful thanks for those tips
kids are 9 and 10 and looking at Davy crocket.
I think we are more interested in the studios (avengere section in particular) -is that just as busy?

You will struggle to fill your week just with studio park, it's much smaller and not so much to do. It's not as busy in general but a few of the rides do get long queues (Crushes Coaster, Ratatouille) not too sure about the avengers aspect as I've avoided it while it's been so new.
Personally I would look at Santa Fe or Cheyenne over Davy Crockett, just because they're actually on site and walking distance to the village and park. The shuttle doesn't go to Davy Crockett so you'd have to drive each day (but if you're happy with that then it's meant to be nice!)

@alicelauraa
thanks for this, we’ll def go to the main park too
they like the look of the pool at the Davy crocket, also villages nature but I know that is further away.
yes stayed at Santa Fe many years ago, we like the separate rooms thing at Davy crocket. I hate sharing a room with my kids!
we will have our own car with us fortunately
