Euro Disney - Where's the best place to book from etc?

I know nothing.

Am considering a long weekend to Euro Disney. DD1 will be nearly 3 and dd2 about 6 months (is that a silly age to go?)...

Where can I get a good deal? How much should I expect to pay for about 3 nights? Two adults and two dds.

Best hotels to stay? Are they near to the actual Euro Disney?

Can I get everythig as a package?

I literally know nothing!

Hello Furryfox,
We went last March and booked through a company I found via google. They are called www.sundeal.co.uk and there dedicated Disney number is 0800 953 0431.

They were marvellous ( If i remember they are associated with co op travel, nothing to do with the sun newspaper!) The girls were always so helpful and it was no problem to find the cheapest time to go to inc any offers they had on.

Would say the 6 month old was too young of course but your 3yo would have a blast. Unlike Florida, Paris is smaller and therefore not so far for little legs but you can hire buggies (all be it rigid ones)

We paid £520 per room, which had 2 double beds in, it was at the Newport Bay Hotel which was very nice. At the time Kids under 7 went free and I think they still do now. There was also a special offer on at thetime stay for 4 nights and only pay for 3.

That price inc. breakfast for the 3 mornings, euro star to and from London and our passes to the park.

Have other tips but wont ramble on anymore, feel free to ask if you want to know anymore.

We had a blast.....

I shall watch this thread very closely. We are wanting to go in October from scotland though so logistics of getting there might be trickier.

I tend to book direct - with Eurostar and Ba and then the Disneyland Hotels themselves off the disney website - if you fly via Charles de Gaulle there is a Bus outside that goes directly and the Eurostar goes to the park so you can either walk or get the transfer buses when you arrive.

We just got back on Saturday,it was our second trip.
Both times I booked flights direct through Easyjet from Newcastle to Charles de gaulle,(flights for 2 adults and 2 kids were under £250) then booked direct with Disneyland Paris website for the hotel. This time we stayed at the hotel Cheyenne which is in the resort,a very basic hotel but you are literally only there to sleep so was fine for us.Hotel cost us around £300 for 4 nights bed and breakfast, inc. the park tickets for 5 days.
I am more than happy to answer any other questions while it is all still fresh in my head!

going thisThurs for 4 days (landing at 9.15am). Any tips on travel from Airport (heard the queus for the Disney run bus are really long).

Also what is food like for 4 & 6 y.old who don't eat meat?
Is the western evening worth it?
should we take a pushchair and buggy board?

ash6605 · 23/03/2008 20:02

We used the VEA Shuttle bus from the airport to hotel(stayed at the Cheyenne Hotel)which cost us 60Euros-2 adults,2 children but it took ages to find the terminal for the bus in the first place(if you have never been to CDG it is HUGE)then we waited in the cold for half an hour for the bus, then it took another 15 mins to pull away and an hour journey to hotel.
On the way back to the airport we booked a taxi which cost us 70Euros but if we had pre-booked it at least a day in advance they would have done it for 60Euros.The taxi journey was over with in half an hour and the driver even put on a Disney dvd for the kids, which is apparently common over there. So definately go for the taxi, wish we had been better informed before we went.

Foodwise,I can't really advise as we tend to just eat junk food on holiday,it is only a few days after all so we were filling up at breakfast time with croissants, fruit, cereal etc then for lunch just a snack(hot dog, chips, mcdonalds burger, that kind of thing)At tea time,we spent the first night at a texan all you can eat buffet restaurant(can't remember exact name but something like Billy Bobs)then on our second day we had a sit down meal at Cafe Mickeys which I can highly reccommend for a character meal it was fantastic. On our third night we did the princess meal in the castle-very expensive, not great food but well worth it if your children want to meet the princesses. For our last night we were in Paris and ate more junk from a burger van at the Eiffel Tower!!

Defo take a pushchair-my dd is almost 5 and we haven't used one for over two years but she used it a lot as you do so much walking over there. In fact ds,aged 8 even had the odd sit down in it for a rest.

Hope this answers your questions but feel free to ask me anything else.

mypandasgotcrabs · 23/03/2008 20:05

My best tip if you want a package is find an oprator who will price match. I went last summer. Eurostar was the best price I had found (by about £300), called Thomson, they price matched &gave me free insurance.

any idea how I can book a cab from here? Have found one place (Bluvan for 70 euros) but would prefer to book on recommendation.

ash6605 · 25/03/2008 09:46

sorry lovehorses,I'm not sure.Don't know if there would be something on an Expedia type website.Or put a thread on here for a recommendation,am sure someone on here will be able to help.Or ask one of the airline staff/hostess?usually there are loads of taxis waiting outside the terminals for customers, some of them even drive up to the stand where you are waiting for the shuttle and ask if you'd rather use them.ask if they'll price match the shuttle and you've got a deal!

spudcounter · 27/03/2008 07:59

hope you don't mind us hijacking this thread but we plan to fly easyjet to CDG for DLP at some time this year. Easyjet's autumn flight costs don't appear to out yet, so we can't book. Did you use priority boarding when you went?

eandh · 27/03/2008 08:08

We are going in september for surprise for dd1 4th birthday (dd2 will be 22 months) booked through co-op (another mnetter who is on my postnatel thread works there so did it

Going monday to thursday and staying in santa fe hotel (room and breakfast) in disney it was £392 for the hotel/tickets then I need to book eurostar in may (can only book 120 days in advance) which will be around £120.

Am planning to take snacks with me as heard food v.expensive and will feed dd's up at breakfast and then the 4 of us will eat out in evening

ash6605 · 27/03/2008 19:51

SPUD-We didn't bother with the priority boarding because we have always found with Easyjet(have flown with them now about ten times) that they give families with children under a certain age priority booking once you check in anyway so they call those that have paid for priority boarding first(IME only about 10 people or so)then those with children, then everyone else so we have never had any problems withy boarding and have always sat together.
