4 days Seville and Cadiz with teens

Hi
We're thinking of spending 2 nights in Seville and 2 in Cadiz at Feb half term. Flying in and out of Seville. Train to Cadiz.
What would your top things to do with teens be?
They are quite easy going - enjoy sightseeing, a bit of shopping, hikes. Usually a day is enough in a city (e.g. an evening and day in venice was enough, although that was August so endless walking was exhausting).
We won't have a car.
Is it worth a day trip to Camino Del Ray?
Any good hikes from Cadiz?
Thanks!

Alcazar, cathedral and climb to top of Giralda in Seville. Walking tour of the Jewish quarter. The "mushrooms". Market in Triana. Have a look at GetYourGuide for various day trips too. Its very easy to walk around with tapas and drink stops. Some cool roof top bars. It's been some years since I went to Cadiz, but remember a fab market, chocolate and churros and walk on the ramparts. February will be orange blossom time if anyone has allergies.

I felt a bit let down by Cadiz if truth be told. It might have been because it was tipping it down with rain, but something just felt off. One day would be fine there.

Cordoba, however, blew me away. Also a train ride away and worth a (long) day trip from Seville or an overnight stay.

I would base yourself in Seville for five days. Two days to see Seville, one day in Cadiz, one day in Cordoba and one day going to Rhonda and the white villages (there are coach tours that depart from Seville).

I loved Cadiz. We stopped there for a day but I always want to go back. The streets are made for exploring. IIRC the town layout was done in such a way as to confuse pirates! Lots of little turns and a maze like feel so you never end up quite where you thought.

Not the point but may appeal to the teens - the shopping there was excellent!

I would genuinely spend 4 days in Seville. Theres enough to do and you won’t feel rushed.

Cadiz is wonderful. (I'm there at the moment🙂) Myriad bars, restaurants, shops. Not too expensive. It's casual and buzzy with people enjoying an outdoor life (even in December/January. The weather is kind.)
There's a large El Corte Inglés department store (the Spanish John Lewis) that has a good selection of very reasonable clothes, amongst just about everything else.
The sea front is beautiful, as is the cathedral. The fish market and the food stalls around it are great, as long as a cruise ship isn't in port when it can get rather crowded.
At the moment the trees lining the streets are full of oranges and look wonderful.
You can take a Hydrofoil trip across the Bay of Cadiz to El Puerto de Santa María, one of the three towns in the Sherry Triangle and visit a bodega, as well as yet more tapas bars. Cost is less than €10 return.

Thank you so much for the replies!
I'm torn between staying in Seville or doing both, but Cadiz having the bonus of the coast, and presumably coastal walks too does appeal.
@SiobhanSharpe your description sounds just what we like! Did you fly to Seville?
I'd sooner feel like we'd want to go back to finish them off, then have had enough.
It'll be our first trip to Spain.

@House4DS no, we drove down from Santander (ferry from Portsmouth) as we stay here for a month in January. DS flew to Seville and we picked him up there.
Cadiz is situated at the tip of a long peninsula that runs parallel to the 'mainland' - I'm not a walker and don't have any knowledge of coastal walks on the peninsula but there must be some!
I do know there are many on the mainland side of the bay where there are two national parks and wetlands with storks and flamingos.

Seville is great.

two days is easy to fill.
my fave were the alcazar and the Christopher Columbus stuff. There are also more delicious restaurants than you can shake a stick at.

enjoy!

We did Seville in Feb half term with 3 teens. Highly recommend staying in an Airbnb instead of hotel there are some gorgeous places amongst the orange trees in the old town.

Alacazar Palace and the Setas (mushrooms) were the favourites. Make sure you find the gardens at the back of the Alcazar palace - they are tricky to find but so worth it. The peacocks are enchanting! We went to the Setas at sunset on Valentines Day - light show is awesome.
