Sardinia or Sicily with nearly 3yo

Hi all, we will be going away 26th May-2nd June. Really stuck between these 2 destinations (and also where abouts in each place to stay).

At the time of the holiday our daughter will be nearly 3. We are outdoorsy and would like beaches, pool, town with markets and lots of restaurants. We like hiring boats and going for walks, vineyards, water parks, paddle boarding, playing on the beach/ kids pool.

Would prefer a hotel to villa but not bothered about all inclusive, we prefer to go out to eat.

Equally if there is more than 1 place you'd recommend to stay at either place we would be happy to do this also.

Any help much appreciated

Sardinia is very child friendly. We stayed outside Alghero which meets all your needs but it was many years ago so can't give specific recommendations. We also stayed in Cannigione which was pleasant and had lovely beaches but resorts on that side seem more adult orientated and more expensive. Not been to Sicily. Corsica eastern coast is also gorgeous.

Yes I've seen this! After doing a bit more research I'm wondering if Sicily might be better in terms of action. Only because I'm worried our DD (and us) might get a little bored just beaching every day. Sardinia seems to have more family friendly hotels from the face of it though

@Ontheflipside_ hi, op can I ask what you've gone for? I'm having the same debate right now. I will have two small children

The flights made the holiday too expensive for the dates we needed, so we have opted for Portugal in May and Greece in September instead
