Parisian Jazz Bar - 38Riv - okay to take my 17 yr old daughter in with me?

We'll be going to Paris during Feb half term together, just me and her. I'm wondering if they would stop her from entering the premises or having a drink of wine? She loves live music and I thought it would be a nice experience and I like that bar, have seen a few Youtube videos of performances there. I don't know how strict it might be in Paris and what their legalities are surrounding this though. Ironically, my daughter wanted to go to the Moulin Rouge cabaret (she's watched the movie with Nicole Kidman) and when I looked up the price of tickets etc, it cost around £80 per person, including an alcoholic drink, dancers wear see-through tops with no bras, and yet they allow children in. So I'm a bit confused... would a jazz bar allow a 17 year old in?

According to Tourist office in Paris, they sell child tickets. It’s music and a bar. French drinking laws seem lax. Always get a soft drink if unsure.

Did you think the Moulin Rouge was family entertainment? Films and reality aren’t the same!

She's well mature by now about such things as she has had a boyfriend for about a year from school. I know it's not so innocent between them 😅Also I know her boyfriend's parents let her drink with them when they invite her for dinners to special occasions (like birthdays), and I also let her too on some occasions like Christmas. I'm personally alright with all this. I just have no idea if the French jazz bar is. Also I'm probably skipping Moulin Rouge as it seems overly priced for what it is. Saw clips of the dancing on YT and found the production quality very low, and read the bad reviews as well. I'd rather take her to the jazz bar, but it's a bit confusing if a well known place like Moulin Rouge considers itself to be "family entertainment" even in their website, but if a jazz bar doesn't... but maybe France is quirky this way.

Also when booking on the Moulin Rouge site, they don't discriminate between adults and children - all pay the full price and they don't ask to specify which tickets are meant for children or adults. You just choose how many standard tickets you want. And they accept kids from 6 years old 😅 I wonder if the jazz bar would be more stringent though. Has anyone gone to this particular jazz bar before and know about it??

It’s recommended on Culture Trip. Look them up and search jazz clubs. I think you have to accept it’s likely to be a more mature venue as most teens aren’t into jazz. It’s in a brick lined cellar and reminds me of the Cavern Club. It’s not expensive so can you just not turn up and ask? However as they do reduced price for dc it seems they don’t exclude them as they would here unless 18. 21 in many USA states.

I could but it's a bit out of the way for me as we'll be staying in a Parisian suburb in zone 5, and I will have to sort of build it into my itinerary so I don't just take a train all the way there just to ask and be turned away. It is in the Le Marais area... I will have to see where we can sort of hang out around there before the club opens.
