South Tyrol recommendations

Summer in South Tyrol - early July or late August.

Need great mountain views and nature around me. Modern, design led hotel - no carpets in rooms. Good pools/ swimming lakes. At least half board. A spa would be welcome.

No serious hiking/ biking/ sports, but family friendly excursions (suitable for DS8, unfit DH and me recuperating from major surgery).

Could combine e.g. 2 nights in Verona with a week in South Tyrol, or a few nights at Lake Garda first.

Budget £4k for 2 adults, I child.

I've not stayed here, but a few miles down the road in Arabba.

Stayed here a few years ago over Christmas, it was absolutely stunning and meets your requirements exactly. The views have to be seen to be believed!

@PinkPondQueen That's so exciting, because I've been looking at this hotel on Instagram for weeks! Amazing that that's the second recommendation I get!!!

Tons near Alpe di Siusi (Seiseralm) which jn my view is the most beautiful part of ST. But in August also the most expensive.
I would do Lake Garda first, you can do a day trip to Verona and it will be so hot in August anyway. peschiera is lovely and close to the airport and Verona.

😅😅😅 surely a sign you should go! I've stayed in some gorgeous hotels but the Miramonti is up there in my top 5, it really was outstanding. The way it has been designed to make the most of the views is staggering. The only thing I didn't like was the painful popping ears driving back and fore Merano - it really is that high up! Worth it though 😍
