Cruises

My grandparents are celebrating a milestone anniversary next year and to mark the occasion are taking the immediate family (10 of us) on a cruise around Greek islands and Turkey.
Initially I said yes to going but I’m now panicking as I hate the thought of being out in the ocean.
I have no issues with flying and I love sea swimming but I am completely (irrationally) freaked out by being on a giant boat in the middle of the sea.
Can anyone reassure me before I severely upset the applecart by saying I want to pull out?

It’s like a town on water, you’ll be fine!

The ships I've been on are massive, you kinda forget your on a boat tbh.

Also here to say you will barely notice . We’ve done these trips with family groups and older relatives and it really works well .

During most days you are in a port so you can get off the ship and go and explore. You get back on the ship and late evening it sets off. You don't notice you've left port. You are sailing on the ocean overnight then the next morning you wake up somewhere different. You forget you are floating on the ocean. There's lots to do. Lots of entertainment in the evenings. Food is good and very plentiful.

It's fine, you barely feel it move on the med. most sailing is at night too. I know irrational fear is hard to overcome but remember you basically hug the coast anyway

You're at sea, not a vast stormy ocean. You'll barely feel the ship move.
It's like being in a gently moving hotel, but food & drink available almost 24/7

The ships are usually in port in the day then at night after dining and entertainment you are rocked to sleep on the lovely comfortable beds . Bliss .
