Netherlands Landal or Centerparcs advice

We are planning to take what will be our 3 and 5 year old to the Netherlands at the end of May via ferry from Hull to Rotterdam. Initially I thought we’d go for Centerparcs but I’ve seen lots about the Landal parks being great- however I’m quite overwhelmed by the choice.

Does anyone have any advice or recommendations for which parks are best with toddlers/young children?

Thanks in advance.

We are currently at rabbit hill which is fab. Lots of little playgrounds dotted about, the big soft play and indoor pool.
we pack our 5 year olds bike and hire some for us and go on lots of bike rides and walks in the woods.
we love it. Did a similar one last year fairly close to here but can’t remember the name. Started with a C
have never been to centre parks to compare though.

That’s really helpful thank you. Rabbit Hill has definitely come up repeatedly in my research but good to hear it recommended first hand.

Agree with Rabbit Hill. Went in May half term with 3yo and 5yo. Chose accommodation right next to a little play park so kids were entertained for hours and adults could sit on the patio to chat. Adventure play ground was awesome, nice little indoor pool, small soft play, bowling, jumping pillow. Lovely woods to cycle round near by. Friendly staff and scenic setting.

Also, end of May is not Dutch holidays so the place is fairly quiet.

@Squiffy01 @turtletum Thanks for this it’s helpful. What’s the accommodation like? Seen quite a few reviews saying it’s really dated. Do you know if any of it is more modernised? Thanks.

We had a chalet that looked reasonably modern. It's not luxury but we thought quality was very good for the price.

Sorry only just seen this.
it’s quite basic, but I think most places like that are?
we drive so take loads with us towels, tea towels, hair dryer and some food bits.

no oven both years we have been but our friends did have an oven this year in theirs.
no smart tv in ours (which we didn’t mind as meant a complete break from tv) but friends one had smart tv.

I think if you are after fancy it’s not the place.

Following with interest. We've just been to CP in Belgium (Erperheide) and it was perfect for our 2 and 4 year old and wondering where to go next. I've seen Rabbit Hill mentioned quite a bit, also Beekes Bergen and Efteling theme park. We're leaning towards another CP though, either Het Meerdal in NL or De Haan in Belgium.

There's a website/FB page called Little Clogs Holidays that has loads of recommendations and reviews for toddler friendly holiday parks in the Netherlands and Belgium. They can offer free advice as well if you send them a message.

@BeaniesOnToast I’ve been relooking at Centerparcs too and think Het Meerdal looks like it would be really good for our age of children.

You don’t need to stay at Efteling or Beekse Bergen, if you staying somewhere else within driving distance then you can go to them as day trips.
