How do I travel with homemade food over a weekend? Also, any ideas about warming food?

My 11 mo dd will not eat from a jar, only my stuff, which is lovely normally but we are going away for 2 weeks, and the first 2 nights will be a combination of ferry and hotel. Has anyone any bright ideas about how I can transport her frozen purees for that length of time? I would be very grateful. Also, does anyone have any tips about warming stuff on the move? Anything I can get on the internet would be very useful.

Hi Bitlesstirednow!
When we moved to germany (DS 11 months) and i also stayed with a (not very hygenic friend) when DS was 10 months we did this:
I put ice cube'meals' (ie 2 veg/1 potato or 2porridge 2 fruit etc) into little tubs and stored them in electric cool box with lots of ice packs. I then put in microwave and zapped and fed him from pot.Preferred to keep meat to minimum as less likely to get food poisoning.
Don't know if you can get car microwaves? Seem to recall seeing them in 'Truck Stop'places. Not my thing! But a lot of service stations that i have been to in Germany have microwaves for heating babyfood. Actually IKEA is useful if you are passing one! (Are you going from Germany to UK). You could always have travel stove for emergency (sure your DH must have one/borrow one) just pack small pan.
At 11 months fingerfoods are also good (cheese/veg/breadsticks)and you may find something you can mash if you are desperate in a cafe.Salt in most German foods usually quite high though.
Weetabix /Ready brek etc can be good standby. You can warm formula in the usual way (if she is on it) and make up cereal-instant,warm and filling.
If you are going back to UK you may find she will eat some of the nicer babyfoods you can get now (read expensive!)
Don't know if that helps but I know what it is like and can sympathise! BTW he never starved and was never ill! Good luck!
