Howdy!

Ive booked a trip to Bluestone in wales with my Wife Daughter and My Parents as our 1st get away as parents.

My daughter will be 10 months at the time of travel.

Can anyone give us any tips and hints regarding Bluestone resort?

Ive been trying to book some of the extras but none of them seem to be available im assuming that its because its too early to be booking food etc?

Cheers you lovely people!

we go a couple of times a year and love it. Definitely book a golf buggy to whizz around on. The shindig at camp smoky is great (if it’s on). The shop is very good but quite pricey.

The restaurants are OK. The coffee shop is great. Go to the blue lagoon as early as you can.

Enjoy!

Thanks @Cherry321 . My mother had a stroke 15 years ago and has limited mobility so we got a adapted lodge with a cart included. Ive actually messaged Bluestone and they have said they will try to arrange transport down to camp Smoky as well which would be lovely of them!

Are there any of the local towns/beaches that are particularly worth a visit?

I don't find the pool that warm - it's colder than centre parcs. So get one of those baby swimming wet suits that keeps them warmer.

Bluestone is not far from Tenby and Saundersfoot Beach and also Amroth (which is smaller) all are lovely. If you was also looking to do an activity outside of Bluestone there are lots of places close by such as Manor Park and Folly Farm which is a zoo/animal etc

Yep loads of lovely beaches and depending how long you are at Bluestone, St David’s is worth a visit.

gkad you’ve got a buggy. They are the best bit in my opinion. If you’re going for a special occasion people often decorate their buggies with banners, fairy lights, tinsel etc. sounds bonkers - but people do it.

Cheers we have a wetsuit at the moment as taking my girl swimming every week (not that it will fit her by April😂

@Cherry321 @Mamofteenager thanks both with add these to the list of places to investigate. We are doing a week break so should be able to get out on a few trips.

I like visiting the river at lawrenny and Cresswell quay. Probably better in nice weather though.
Agree the pool is cold.
The spa is a nice treat but small.
Enjoy the shindig but wouldn't take a baby personally.
I have been loads of times so happy to answer questions.
The free shows are brilliant. Make sure you book them.

we are currently in the car on our way back from Bluestone! I would highly recommend getting a golf buggy - we didn’t last time and noticed the difference being able to whizz around. The blue lagoon is fab, and you can spend ages there!
the staff are SO friendly there!
food at the restaurants.. are a bit pricey but we saved £1000 for the week to go. 2 adults 2 children, ate out for tea, and dinner! + only spent about half.
the lodges are lovely, we stayed in the village both times and it was great!
last time we went we did a big shop and took food and cooked in.
take extra towels - for swimming! Our lodge had a clothes horse so was able to dry!
take extra toilet roll!
we hardly touched anything we packed as we went in the pool, and soft play for the majority of the week! X

Tenby is lovely, not sure how easy it is for mobility impairment though. St David's is interesting but a fair way depending on your attitude to travel!

Thanks everyone for all the help we had an amazing trip my parents enjoyed it so much they immediately rebooked for next May so looksl ike this might become a bit of a favourite UK trip 🐲!

LO was as good as gold the whole way up and back and she made friends everywhere we went (the allure of being a cute smiley baby goes a long way apparently)
