Cruises, best places to book? Tips/advice?

Me and DH would like to book a cruise for our honeymoon, we’re looking at going next May.
Except I have no idea what I’m looking for; how to know what I’m booking.

Whats the best website to book through, is there such a thing as all inclusive cruises? We don’t want to fly so we’re only looking at cruises that set sail from UK.

any advice or tips are much appreciated! Thanks :)

Thanks all, some really useful info here🤗

can anyone tell me how the onboard spend works? I can’t imagine they just give you a wad of cash to spend? 😂

You have to register a credit card on boarding / pre boarding then have an electronic account everything gets charged to & is settled at the end to your card.

Yes, you get a card which acts as your room entry card, charge card for your account and ID for swiping on and off the ship when you go on shore.

You tube is ideal to see videos for being a first time cruiser. You’ll lose hours watching them. You’ll get loads of packing tips there too. Ships are cashless. As others have said you will register a card and will be given one of their cards in return. That’s to charge to your room, get in and off the ship and unlock your cabin door.

Bolsover is a specialist agent and absolutely brilliant. They can talk you through all the cruise lines, pricing options and so on. It's a minefield.

Do have a balcony if you possibly can. Sheer joy!

Some times you might get a deal which includes and onboard spend, in which case the money is credited to your account to spend on whatever you want such as drinks or excursions etc.
