Has anyone done a multi- Eurocamp holiday in France?

We're looking to drive (we're South West so fairly close to tunnel/ ferries) to south of France somewhere with a beach, pools etc. to break the trip up (probably Languedoc) I'm thinking we could stop for a couple of nights in a Eurocamp on the way there and en route back, essentially three Eurocamp stays in total.
Has anyone done this and can recommend routes/ camps we could plan?
If so, was the driving horrendous? I'm nervous about driving our own car in France (but weirdly would be ok in a left hand drive!)

It needn’t be too bad if you take the overnight ferry to St Malo. From there, it’s about 6 hours drive to Les Grands Pins or Domaine de la Rive (which aren’t in the Languedoc region but are far enough south to guarantee some decent weather). We find 6 hours is doable in a day if we spread it out and make a nice long stop for lunch.

There's a Facebook group - Eurocamp Unofficial Supporters Page, lots of ideas and suggestions for itineraries on there. Some just stop in a hotel overnight to get down to the south as quickly as possible, others do as you suggest and book multiple parcs and take their time. Have a look at the map on their website as well, you can filter by your particular family's requirements to see what's left around the middle of the country for you to aim for.

French driving is easy, much nicer than UK roads! The roads are generally quiet, well signed and frequent rest areas. Enjoy!

Check when the french break up for their summer holidays. the traffic is horrific going south, so steer clear of that week.

Thank you.
I think I've been bamboozled by the huge variety of choice!

Hi,

We have drove to france 3 times in last 13 months with our daughter and take the euro tunnel. It's great fun and nothing like driving over in the UK. In france roads are alot bigger, not busy and service or rest stations pretty much every 10 miles. Euro camps are great we've been to 3 of them now and always had great time away! They are more self catering base i would say and a lot of them seem to shut mid october and re open march time. Hope you have great time away!

We took the ferry to Bilbao and drove back into France. We stayed in the Fremch Pyrenees for a week, although we didn't stay in a campsite. We then drove North of La Rochelle and stayed in a campsite that had an amazing swimming pool, again not a euro amp. We then drove vack to Caen for the journey home.
The drive was horrendously busy and quite boring. Not really what I expected, but the holiday was amazing!

ww did a stop over at Bernie rivière ( may have spelling wrong) on the way to another park. Bear in mind that you have to make up the beds when you get there, and clean when you leave, so too many stops would be a bit of a hassle and seem more work than it’s worth
