Barbados AI

We have managed to get flights there using our airmiles in November and are looking for a lovely AI which is more of a chilled, relaxing vibe rather than anything super posh.

Just me and DP for this trip.

We went to Windjammer in St Lucia last year and I want something similar but it so hard to tell from the reviews.

I can't stand the massive high rise hotels, prefer something spread out but with a really nice beach on the west coast preferably. It's a respite break so party time isn't really on the cards.

Anyone have a recommendation?

Cobblers Cove is lovely. And there were a few turtles in the water off the beach. Probably better for couples than families though

Reporting back, we had to cancel the trip as sadly my partners mum passed away. We moved the flights and now struggling to find something for March. I am loathed to do Sandals but it's looking like the only reasonable price, although Sugar bay has some left it's all got very expensive with the change of dates!

Looks like all the hotels that got bought out by Marriott are having bad reviews and are shutting for refurbishment.

Anyone stayed in hotel that surprised them? That on paper didn't look great but they loved?

Here
It’s AI, but v small, I think only about 25 rooms. Not buffet style restaurant but a daily menu. It’s just off the road, so there is a bit of road noise, (great for the buses tho) but there is a beach. Great cocktails, good location, 10 mins from the airport, sea was really calm.
It was a few years ago now, but we really enjoyed it. Lovely, helpful staff too.

@WilloTheWispy thank you! When you say noisy is it very or barely notice level?

@jeaux90 Well I sleep with earplugs so I was fine! It was just general road noise. So the horns from the buses were probably the loudest thing.

Reporting back. Went to Crystal Cove. Absolutely loved it.
