Disneyland Paris

So I'm off to Disneyland Paris in January, 2adults, 2kids. I am already worried about the drive there. However I'm just wondering what I should roughly budget for each day. So I'm doing 3nights. Have gone half board. I want it to be fun but also NOT too expensive.

Also is it really going to be that cold.

It will likely be colder than you think it will . We went the week before Christmas for 15 yrs when our kids were small and often had snow , it can be freezing . The drive is really easy , takes a leisurely 3 hours once in France . Make sure you book the restaurants you want for dinner as soon as you can as they don’t have all the restaurants open at quieter times so things will book up . WRT budget - how long is a piece of string .

Book restaurants now on the app if you haven't already.
Our favourites were the one in hotel new york, the ratatouille one and the newport bay buffet.

I found with half board I didn't really need extra food.
Big breakfast and then a decent meal in the evening was plenty.
We didn't spend loads. I got the train to the supermarket and got some French food to bring back.

What hotel are you at? It’s been 4 years since I was last there. If there is a cooked breakfast buffet and then you have dinner, you may likely get away with something from one of the bakeries in the afternoon to keep you going. That’s about 7 or 8 euro for a pastry and a coffee.

If you are going by car take a case of bottled water with you and some cereal bars. That can help keep costs down if someone gets hungry.

The water fountains won’t be on as they are usually switched off due to freezing.

How old are the kids? When mine were younger, they’d see lots of merchandise and want it all. The deal was if they saw something and still wanted it at the end of the day we’d go back for it. One thing only, not an entire wardrobe. With you going in January, can they get some euro for gifts, that way they can spend their own money.

Take plenty of layers and make sure you use extra magic hours or whatever they’re called now. Make sure you stay for the fireworks at the end of the day at least once and if budget allows and they still do it, get a glass of champagne from the cart doing the rounds.

I must book again.
