Holiday park suitable for dog and teens!

Not Center Parcs as the dog friendly lodges are fully booked and I don’t find it particularly dog friendly anyway.
I could be asking for the moon on a stick but we want to go away for a few days in half term taking young teens and the dog. Ideally somewhere pretty with a nice lodge type thing, and in a dream world my kids could have a bit of independence and go off a bit on bikes or to an activity/pool if they want to. Does such a thing (apart from Centre parcs) exist? We’ve been go Haven in the past but not keen to go again.

We’ve been to Landal Gwel an Mor in Cornwall with a family group including dogs and teens and it was enjoyed by all

DH has reminded me that DB had his dog when we went to Landal Darwin Forest too and it worked well. I think they had even more teen facilities there

Mother Iveys bay has a private beach and allows dogs in the hired caravans. It’s a beautiful site but no clubhouse facilities, so depends if your teen would be happy with the beach and maybe meeting others for footie in the play area?

Wow - I thought I knew every holiday park there is (I’m a serial holiday planner) but again, more I haven’t heard of! The Landal ones look great and quite affordable!

Away Resorts has a lot of VERY dog friendly accommodation in most of their parks. They even get their own welcome pack!!!

Sandy Balls is a lovely park.

We’ve liked all the Landal parks we’ve visited in the UK and in Europe - they seem better value for money than CentreParcs for us and what we want. The range of activities / facilities / restaurants aren’t so good but what is there is usually good quality and not extortionately priced.

Pippylongstock · 23/08/2023 21:39

I was coming on to say check out landal parks. They have taken over and expanded a lot of parks in the UK. We found an absolute bargain in Feb half term and they are super dog friendly.

@DibbleDooDah will check out Away resorts, thanks.
We live near Sandy Balls and have camped there before. Lovely location but a friend has just stayed in one of the lodges and it was filthy! Hopefully just a one off.
