Hi all,
Me and a girlfriend are hoping to get away on a last minute deal for an AI in early Oct.
So I suppose I'm looking at Turkey/ Canary islands where its slightly warmer at that time of year.
Most adults AI are expensive/luxury hotels but wondering if anyone knew of any gems that weren't quite so expensive but still half decent. Nice food/cocktails provided etc.
Looking at a budget of around 1k pp for a week

Tui Blue Barut Andiz has a very good choice of restaurants and bars.

Casa de Maris in Turkey. Just returned and it was excellent.

I went to the Barcelo Santiago in Tenerife earlier this year. It was great. Beautiful views and wasn’t in the main touristy parts of the Island. It was also relatively cheap.

Oh I’ve just seen your budget and I paid less than £1k for 6 nights and that included paying extra to change the flights to times I preferred and extra leg room / speedy boarding seats. I booked it as a package through TUI.

The problem with cheap all inclusives is that it'll likely be full of chavs

You might just be able to scrape in on budget for Seaside Los Jameos in Lanzarote if you're outside school holidays. Lovely 4 star hotel, great AI with excellent food and cocktails.

I was looking at this online actually. Some of the reviews about the food though put me off despite it looking lovely (and majority of views being very good). I suppose there is always someone though!
Do you get cocktails / more premium drinks included or is it wine/beer and local spirits?

I enjoyed the food, there was a decent amount of fresh food available at the buffet and if all inclusive, you could order al a carte food at the beach bar. I was drinking cocktails as well as the local wine and cava, and a couple of evenings had some decent scotch all as part of the all inclusive

H10 hotels in the Canaries are pretty good - paid under £2000 for two for a week last spring, by booking direct with the hotel and sorting our own flights. The food was good, with some visits to a la carte restaurants included, and the drinks were all international brands such as Gordons, Smirnov etc (important to my DH!), although some more expensive brands such as Grey Goose vodka were chargeable.

H10 Ocean Dreams in Fuerteventura. We did half board and it was super reasonable. It was a lovely small hotel and quiet which I loved. I believe there was an all-inclusive option.

I suppose it depends what they say and whether their tastes match yours. Even high end hotels that blow most people away will have some bad reviews and a lot of people who say they didn't like the food mean that it wasn't to their taste, not that it was bad necessarily. If you're a burger, chips, beige and pizza person, you're going to hate paella and calamari and if you love these things, chances are you'll hate burgers and chips.

I don't know if it's within your budget but I like the look of this, which is available through the package operators or you can book separately.

What about Egypt? Weather in Oct is lovely, warm but not stifling and the sea is like a bath!

'Tui Blue for two' hotels are at the luxury end and get consistently good reviews.

The Premier Le Reve in Hurghada is bloody lovely as is the Sensatori Coral Sea in Sharm el Sheik.
