Sitting in the rain on uk holiday and just a little fed up. . Dd 14 has never been abroad. I do not fly. Where can we go next year? We normally go to the English or welsh seaside.

I do have a fear of flying but also a fear of being trapped. Help!

Also never even considered a cruise...dd will be 15 next summer I assumed they didn't have many young people on them

We just came off a P&O cruise to the Norwegian fjords. There was a huge amount of teens on there. I presume they all met at the teen hangout, we saw them a lot around the ship in a huge group having an absolute ball.
Defo recommend going from Southampton is so easy!

We did Vias Plage entirely by train, though travelling from Brussels in my case - changing at Valence to go on to Agde. No car needed at the other end. If you can work the timings, it can be better to change at Lille and avoid having to cross Paris - which sounds like it might be wise for you.

Also last year - direct train to Marseille - then on to Antibes/Juan Les Pins for 1st trip and Italian riviera for the second. Lille to Marseille is about 5.5 hours I think. You can get a bargain in first class if you book early.

P&O go to and from Southampton. No flying or driving needed.
Lots of young people on cruises nowadays.
