Planned a trip to Orlando two years ago, so before DD was even conceived. It will be me, DH, DD, mum, dad, and my teenage brother. The fact we are going with family makes me feel slightly less stressed about the whole thing.

I need alllllllll the travel tips.

How to make the flight easier?
What to pack to make life easier, what to not bother with?
How to help DD with the heat?
We have been before and know how full on it can be, but how to organise our days to make it less stressful, basically 😂

Starting to feel stressed about the whole thing. We go this weekend

Use Boots click and collect for anything you need between going through security and arriving at your destination www.boots.com/shopping/airport-click-and-collect Order twice as much of the essentials (nappies, milk etc…) than you’ll think you need for the journey. If your plane becomes severely delayed or canceled, you will thank me. Be careful that you have selected the correct store as some airports have stores before security, as well as after security and several terminals.
Definitely use early boarding.
Gate check your stroller/buggy. You’ll probably need to request gate check tags from the gate agent at the airport. Gate checked items will typically be waiting for you by the plane when you disembark. Sometimes, though, they get put into baggage claim. Check with your airline before your flight regarding their gate check policy.
Give your dd a drink whilst taking off and landing to relieve any pressure in her ears. Either that or encourage her to suck your finger or a dummy (that works for longer!). Take satchets of Calpol and ibuprofen with your hand luggage just in case.
When you check in online, choose your seat carefully. Research the best and worst places to sit with a baby.
Take lots of layers for your dd and a spare top for you!
Take plenty of distractions and snacks. Don’t bring the distractions out all at once, and be prepared to repeatedly cycle through them!
If necessary, walk the aisles with your dd and hang out in the galley when you can.
White noise and a nightlight for your room might be useful.
I would buy nappies there but if you formula feed I'd take that as brands are different.
