Cheapest way to get away from home this summer?

I live in a really bad area and I don’t want to be here during summer. I’ll be moving at the end of August but looking at options to avoid being at home as much as I can until then. It’s me, my partner and our 4 year old dd and we only have about £900 to spend for the next 4 weeks.

Any ideas? I’m annoyed with myself for not saving any money for this, but things only started getting bad again round here recently - it did seem to have really calmed down. Even if we spend all day out of the house we still have to deal with all the thugs on our way in and out and hear them all outside at night time so I’d prefer to stay out as many nights as possible.

Just to add, we drive and live close to Liverpool but don’t have passports

I think The Sun newspaper have £9.50 holidays and possibly the Daily Mail too. Not sure if the deadline has passed though. Park Holidays sometimes have cheap deals. All mobile home/lodge troupe of accommodation.

Camping? You can camp in the grounds of some of the youth hostels in the Lake District for £10 a night. You can use all the facilities of the Hostel as well.

Yeah if you don't have to work I'd consider camping. Do you have any kit or anyone you could borrow off? Loads of options in lakes or north wales not too far either.

Eating can be cheap the cost is really just in all the camping stuff.

look at hotels and travel lodges in the more Industrial towns usually cheaper as they are not your normal holiday destination.

Suggestions more for days out -

I’m not familiar with liverpool but we’ve just discovered crabbing with the kids, cheap to buy the kit and hours of fun with a picnic and a follow up trip to the beach.

Look at wild camping up north, there are areas where it’s permitted and could fill a day here and there.

National Trust do pay monthly memberships which could give you a few day out options that you could cancel in September so not too expensive.
