Has anyone been here? DD and I are off to Barcelona in a few weeks and she loves waterparks, so I thought this might be a fun day out. Reviews online are really mixed and none of them seem to be up to date. Would appreciate any insights!
Also, if anyone can give me some ideas of other things to do in Barcelona with a 14 year old who hates walking I'd be very grateful! I've looked into the cable car over the harbour and the magic fountain, but haven't got much further. Thanks in anticipation.

I haven’t been but there are some recent reviews on Google if you filter by most recent.

Tibidabo Amusement Park is good fun and there is a furnicular up to it, plus great views from the top.

Port Aventura is a great theme park and also has a water park - it’s about an hour and a half on the train from Barcelona or there are usually excursions you can book on to. We normally do a long day trip on the train, haven’t done the water park but had some great trips to the main park. Not done it in the summer though, so not sure how busy it is.

The aquarium is brilliant and you can get a joint ticket with the zoo.

Ikono Barcelona is an immersive art installation. Not been but looks pretty online.

Thank you - I was wondering about Port Aventura as she loves a theme park too.
I think I'd quite like Tibidabo, but I was put off by Tripadvisor reviews saying it's absolutely packed in the summer months; then again, I guess most places will be!

We’ve never done Barcelona in the height of summer so I’m not sure how busy Tibidabo can be, we’ve been in spring when it’s only open at weekends and it was pretty busy, similar to a UK attraction on a sunny Spring / early summer day. Not horrendously packed and we’ve enjoyed both times we’ve gone.

The rides might be too tame for your DD, it’s definitely more funfair than proper theme park if that makes sense?

Yes, I think she might be a little old for it, which is a shame. Will definitely check out your other suggestions too - thank you so much.
